Depends on my mood.

That time I didn't. I don't mind dying if I'm close to a spawn point. I play to win. I needed to make sure the tanks were taken out, because I spent 3-4 minutes watching 5-6 guys on my team show off their inability to take out a tank.

As to mine placement, not sure what you want to know. I don't do the obvious unless I've played a game or two against a team and think they are mostly inexperienced.

For instance, I won't place a mine at the flag. Anyone who has been playing more than 8 minutes knows to grenade, missile or whatever that area before running in.

I try not to place mines out in the open where someone following my predicted path will be able to see them ahead of time. I want the person to not see the mine at all or see it 1-2 seconds before getting in the blast zone. That's 99% always certain death (unless in a tank).

And a lot of the time I think ahead. So, I might know that we're about to get the flag going out of their base. I'll place mines on likely pursuit paths and help make sure we get out.

It's like the map Eucadia. Every single time someone places all 4 mines on the bridge into the base. So, I jeep over, stop, toss one grenade quickly and move on through.

Mining is an art. At first you just throw them around. Then you learn of their power. As a newbie, I'd put down 2-3 mines in the same area. Now I know better.

Edit: I forgot to add that I always look at how I died when it's by a mine, sniper or binocs. Sometimes you pick up ideas. Great way to learn. Actually, that's how I learned that you can place mines on ceilings. I then got all sorts of ideas.

Yeah, I've been noticing a LOT more mines on ceilings lately - and trickier mine placement.

I love bombing flag post, and then landing the warhawk, place a mine on the warhawk - grab the flag and start running while throwing mines as I go. Usually, just a boom, boom, boom, as I keep on running.

Strategy has definately become a requirement the longer people have this game as people begin fine tuning their methods.

Wow, I haven't played this game since September. I find Resistance online MUCH more fun. And my stats prove it.

I've been bitten by the sniping bug. The last two days I've practiced my sniping . I can usually pick up 15 or so kills a map.

I love the 1 on 1 game when you snipe someone a couple times and they get pissed and come after you.

Oh, and I love targeting an enemy mine and waiting for someone to walk by it.

Some of my favorite snipe moments:

1. Enemy is just about to grab the flag.
2. Enemy is trying to capture base.
3. Enemy in gunner position in jeep without a care in the world.
4. Dummy going back for his backpack that dropped when I killed him seconds ago.
5. Enemy spends lots of effort trying to be sneaky--not realize that I'm watching and just flipping a coin to decide when to kill him.
6. Enemy goes to my last spot looking for me.
7. Enemy standing by his own mine.
8. Enemy starting to use binocs.

I want to be like you when I grow up!

Seriously, I'm about as good with a sniping rifle as I am in a Warhawk - just not getting good at all . . . but I keep trying.

Great tips, Copywriter.

09. Fast moving jeep on their way back with your flag with "no one" around them.
10. Hovering Warhawk hammering your base with impunity.

and my all time favorite...that has happened just a few times so far due to me being surprised..

11. One on one street fight with a rifle firing opponent..and he dies with one shot .. as he wondered why the hell you were just standing there and not firing back with your rifle or pistol.

I love that. Had a couple today. I had one where the guy came looking for me. He turns around, stops, looks, BAM. I shot him in the back while standing right behind him.

I sniped a Warhawk today that was pounding the flag carrier.

Practice and patience are the two keys. I just kept dealing with the frustration and now I'm hitting runners will solid frequency. I even killed a guy that was running and jumping, because I killed him seconds ago. I nailed him in mid-air.

As for COD 4, I'm not going. I don't like FPS games. Is SoCom FPS?

Many people have left their PSN id's in this thread to be added to your friends list. The clan is having issues adding people. I have several people on my friends list that I join regularly (Vektar, Jafo, Borrik, etc.) and I also have clan members on my buddy list as well (Dadds, Movies3, liz,).

Search the thread, feel free to add me (my PSN is my id here).

Just today I played with Jafo, Reduxinflux, and Daynutz. (Unfortunately, the wife came home about the time I found some folks to play with and I got distracted and eventually had to leave early.)

As usual, the team with the most Blu members was winning.

Hope that helps all those lonely Warhawk players out there.

Ps. I wish we could set up a clan battle. We sure have some kick @ss players here.

Remember, when people complained there weren't any games on PS3 - now there are too many coming out at once that I want!

I will have to rent it first - but I have some Blu-ray movies I want and my kid and I love R&C. (I was going to get it for him as an X-Mas present, but I'm not sure if I can wait. )

I plan to get COD4, and Lego Star Wars: CS, Rock Band. With all the good games out this month I'm going to need more time.

Oh no! All of the Warhawk Clan is jumping ship to other games. *sigh*

I suppose it was bound to happen with all the new PS3 games coming out.

Or, maybe, you all are afraid of my mad skills in Warhawk and are running away . . . yeah, that's what I'll go with.
