All I have to say is that in the first 5 minutes, a steel-support beam for a building swung out of control and cleanly 'cut' through 5+ beams of an adjacent building. Not to rag on you or anyone else that enjoyed this movie, but this movie lost my interest after that. And I didn't give the rest of the movie much of a chance after that point. I know it was a science fiction movie; I just had higher expectations from it.

Basically Venom is the coolest if not the main Spider-man villian. I grew up on this stuff and when the first Spider-man movie came out I said to my friends "I can't wait for them to do one with Venom." Spider-man 3 was advertised as the Black Spider-man/Venom movie and I only saw him for about 11 minutes. Sandman is a villian I never really liked or carred to see but he takes up most of the movie. Also the whole Emo thing wasnt popular.

I missed Spiderman 3 at the theaters so I've really been looking forward to seeing it. I just finished watching it a little while ago and really enjoyed it. Spiderman was one of my favorites growing up though so I'm probably a little biased in that regard.

See my problem is the CG... yes, nothing in this movie could really happen. But does it have to look as fake as it actually is? Like the rubber stretch armstrong fight at the beginning of the movie... Come on now...

as a structural engineer, i can say that is possible if it falls great enough...however..

if u are complaining about the possibility of that in a movie, you might want a look at the possibility of a spiderman, black goo, and a man with sand arms from a scientific experiment. yeah. welcome to the cinema

The opening action scene was A+. The rest went downhill. The whole movie was corny basically. I just didn't buy it like I did the other movies. Sandman was SO lame.. and corny. I could have cared less if he lived or died. The script was subpar and overly dramatic (corny) which made the acting suffer. The tone of the movie when not in action was very direct-to-video feeling.

Also, somehow Peter is allowed back into that bar at the end even though he went bat shit in there earlier. Peter's character when in "badass" mode was really lame from character and appearance (hair), and the ending between Sandman and Peter doing a quick -I dont want to kill you anymore- was lame.. again just a bad script! The conversations between Peter and Harry were poorly scripted. Many times while watching the movie I just have to put my head in my hands and go "what the hell did they just do?". And wtf is up with Sandman being this big sand monster? Man I could go on..

I've been a huge fan of the Spidey comics for a long time, and I think 3 is pure garbage. Terrible pacing, and the cheesiness was at an all-time high.

i loved sandman.. i wish he was in it himself... no venom.. i love venom and he deserves his own movie entirely.. the venom in spiderman3 was like a complete dork... and not just when he was on peter, Venoms a crazy killer thats scary not some pansy who holds down spiderman so sandman can touch him? on the shoulder (that part of the fight scene was sooooooooooo weak)

anyway would rather have had them each have their own movie

You have issues if that scene killed the movie for you. I guess you don't like ANY action of sci-fi movies then, ya know, since there are so many things that happen that aren't realistic.

IT'S A COMIC BOOK MOVIE! Harry Osborn is flying around at 65 mph on a snow board, while doing loops and fighting a guy swinging around on webs in NYC. And you're complaining about a beam going through a skyscraper?

My order of preference for content: 1,3,2...
