If illegal activities are your thing a 500 gb harddrive is cheaper to buy than 10 BR movies.

If that's the case he deserves another Nobel Prize. He'd actually deserve this one.

An external enclosure is smaller than a stack of 10 BR's in most cases.

but it being cracked means nothing. and if fox was waiting around for something unhackable..then I guess we can expect to never see another title from them
I'll rather go buy it at the BM store now and put it up for display as it still has an esthetic look to it...

Default BD+ copy-protection cracked

BD+ copy protection cracked

Slysoft, the software company behind AnyDVD HD, says to have cracked the BD+ copy-protection layer featured in Blu-ray Discs. Details about the hack have not spread yet, but the technique can't be countered by giving out new keys.

BD+ acts as a virtual machine in BD players, it checks whether modifications have been made to the player or whether non-genuine keys are being used. Also, BD+ can patch suspicious BD players and change its output.

Earlier this year, the AACS copy-protection was hacked and despite the release of new AACS-keys, Slysoft promises its upcoming AnyDVD HD version can copy newer titles like Transformers and the Spider-Man Trilogy in HD quality. The software company is determinted to launch the new version of its software tool before the end of the year.

Nope, not my thing. Just saying I would be very tempted to do so in the case of TransFUDers on HD DVD.

Default BD+ Cracked?

DVDTown.com

Quote:
Less than a month after it was introduced BD+ is cracked according to Slysoft. "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer" was among the first titles to use the new copy protection scheme. It was released on October 4th and caused playback issues on some blu-ray players. It was speculated that BD+ was the cause for the problems. This was later corrected via firmware upgrades.
Quote:
He hopes to have the software that removes BD+ from Blu-ray discs commercially ready before years end.

We'll see.

The BDA is def aware of it.
I think we're all waiting to see what their strategy is exactly, but rest assured that they are going to do something. If you ask me I would say Warner would be instrumental at this point in time. If it does happen even DUD biased sales people will tell consumers not to bother no matter the price.

buying a blu-ray player under $400 is pointless thats why buying the xbox 360hd-dvd add-on drive is so pointless to buy but like i said on a previous post i will not buy a blu-ray under $400 until this format war has ended

The BDA is more than aware of the cheap HD DVD player sales. There is a lot of really good discusion on this in a couple of other threads.
