Hey John,
What kind of out outputs does your cable/satellite box have? I'm assuming it's got one HDMI and one component (and probably a composite or two). If you're going to try and get the signal from your box to your TV AND computer at the same time, then you will need to have its signal sent over two different cables (I think). My DirecTV HD DVR is set up similarly: I've got the HDMI going to the receiver (which goes to the TV), and then a composite going to my DVD recorder. The DVR outputs a signal over both simultaneously, which allows me to record to DVD if I so choose. |
