All right I made it out to a BB with a Magnolia in it. First off I was expecting more from Magnolia didnt seem too much different from a regular BB at least the one in summerlin NV. They really could have set the Panasonic 3D off by itself so your not seeing all the other displays flickering when the glasses are on. Also the Samsung 3D set is far away from it and hard to find. When you ask them where the 3D tvs are they only take you where the Panasonic is didnt even mention the Samsung. They at least had the Samsung dialed in right as I didnt notice any crosstalk, but the regular BB by my house has it set up better with a canopy over it.
Back to the Panasonic though I thought it looked great. The picture was sharp and colorful, and the loop has lots of good 3D effects to it. The grand canyon looked amazing and it was cool watching the guy backflip off the ledge. Its cool when the door opens to the house its like your walking through. Astro boy is a lot like monsters vs aliens in that at times it seems barely 3D and other times very 3D. When asro is walking through the grass field it was amazing.
Over all I would say the sets are pretty close in PQ and I couldnt say one looked better than the other. I already got blessing from the wife to get whatever set I want. I can probably go up to 5k before she gets pissed. She likes the Samsung better though I suspect its because the glasses are so much better for it. I am leaning towards the Samsung because I do so much gaming and with lcd burn in is impossible and I also surf the web via my PS3. The Samsung also converts any 2D to 3D and though not as good as true 3D still pretty impressive for video games. I got to demo sreet fighter in 3D and really liked the effect. I want to see what it can do for Fallout 3! The thing is no way would I get 46" and even 50" seems too small. The 55" seems big enough but 65" would be the bomb. I probably will get this 55" and in 5yrs I can upgrade to a 100"+ OLED full 4k 3D no glasses needed set, but this is just too sweet right now not to upgrade (for me).
