It’s amazing how many people here collection movies of all different genres. I am the same way and I thought I was one of the very few people in this world that do so. Many people collect movies ranging from kids/animation movies to violent, action flicks. A lot of my friends just stick with the gory action movies and maybe a few comedy movies. But that’s it. But with me…..I’m like everyone here. I collect all different kinds of movies. Some movies in my collection I’m very proud to announce like The Dark Knight, Watchmen, etc….but there are also some movies I’m ashamed to announce. I even own a couple of chick flicks.
I know it’s silly, but I watch ANYTHING…. and when I say “anything,” I really mean it. But from the looks of most people’s collection here, I’m not alone on this. So, it’s make me happy that I’m perfectly healthy and not this weird person that society claims me to be.

I really like alot of chick flicks if they are romcoms i am not a fan of mushy love stories but a funny one is ok in my book. The Ugly Truth is one of my top 10 movies of last year.

Out of those I have only the following are still sealed

The Fast & The Furious Trilogy: Looks sealed but I opened it. Stupid sticker for the free ticket for F&F residue stayed on the covered. Carefully taped the plastic on the inside of the box. Protects it from dust. :-D

The Ultimate Matrix Collection: Carefully opened the box and taped the plastic to the inside of the box. Especially since it's black, it would be hard to keep clean.
I've been doing the same thing for a while, for example, opening boxsets that have the cases inside just where the cases can be taken out, leaving all the plastic cover on the box to protect it.

I also take the sticker on top of the blu-ray cases (the one with the name of the movie) and put it inside the case, just to have almost everything that came with the brand new blu-ray (minus the wrapping and some of the stickers that came with the wrapping).

A little over the top, but keeps my OCD in place.

I didn't too much care for it, although I did get it for cheap. I'm at this point now, where if I buy a movie, I keep it. I don't trade or sell my movies anymore. I used to, but I just want to build my collection up now.

The only good thing in that movie was Carmen Electra and I can honestly say I watched it once and never watched it again. I lose points with a lot of people for even having it in my collection . But I'm not gonna sell it cause it isn't worth anything, so I might as well keep it.

I have a very wide variety of movies. I think its kind of crazy to just stick with one genre of film when there are so many good movies in different genres. I'm a fan of movies in general, so I don't really consider genre in my purchase.

I can honestly say that I've definitely seen worse movies. I think a lot of people are just riding the hate bandwagon. Don't get me wrong, the movie sucks, but it isn't the worst movie I've seen.

I can see you have a pretty hefty collection. You should post photos of it.

I do like to watch a good chick flick from time to time because well…..there’s chicks.
Yeah, I do like watching “manly” action/gory flicks, but after a while, you want to watch something a little different. Too much “guy stuff” can get dull after a while.

By the way....I gotta check out The Ugly Truth. Looks like a good movie. And I'm sure it will since it has Katherine Heigl.

you have a lot of movies...and PS3 games too! You should sell off your DVD collection to make room for the Blu-rays

I unfortunately cant sell the DVD's yet because everyone of the them is not on or even announced for Blu-ray yet. When they do i will just put the DVD in the attic because they are almost worthless to sell nowadays.

I know. It's crazy how DVDs got obsolete so fast. I remember when DVDs were out for a while, I was able to sell my VHS tapes for a while. But with DVDs, they're worthless now.

Each row holds about 50 movies. It'll vary some if you have digibooks and box sets included.

Thanks! I'm a slip cover fan like yourself and as you can probably see I'm missing a couple. But I'll get my hands on them eventually.

I'm a Battlestar Galactica fanatic and it was worth every penny I paid for it.
