Think of it this way... Amazon is selling Blu-ray like crazy, regardless of their advertising. Just look at eproductwars.com and you'll see for yourself. But, at the same time, they probably have an abundance of stock on HD DVD titles that are collecting dust in their warehouses. Any good retail business will push unmoving inventory to the forefront in order to get rid of stock. But, knowing that they have to waste so much other advertising potential in order to do so will make them simply stop carrying larger quantities of said item once stock diminishes. I see this as a good sign that Amazon wants to get rid of their backlog of HD DVD quantities. Once it finally happens, then they will drop the so-called "favouritism" approach to the format.
At least, I hope this is the case. ![]() |
