Ah, now you are getting the point.

They ignore PS3 when talking about conoles or players sold but they magically include it when calculating the attach rate. They try to win the argument both ways, but even a chimp can see that the logic simply doesn't work. It doesn't have to be a smart chimp either.

I am starting to think Universal just sucks more and more period! Has anyone watched their HD channel? The programs are boring 98% of the time, and the picture isn't even good.

I wouldn't read into it. Corporate types say whatever they have to say up until the very day it changes publicly, even if they know the change is coming. They almost never hint that changes are coming if they have an arrangement in place right now. They will say they are 100% dedicated to the current arrangement until the very day the arrangement ends. This is standard behavior.

Exactly. Everyone in the HD DVD camp is in a "safe place" thanks to Paramount / Dreamworks.

All his answers are BS. He just can't come out and say, "We screwed up." Everyone knows the format war is bad. Now we know Universal is hanging out with Paramount - they are a zero influence in ending the war.

Warner, we need you. You listening? Or we can all just wait for the whole thing to blow up in our faces.

american gangster was pretty disappointing for me anyways. i went in hoping it would be a great film, but it just wasnt. denzel is the only saving grace the movie has. poor flow and poor development of characters killed this movie.

Universal confirms "no plans to support Blu-ray"

I confirm "no plan to support Universal"

Lighten up guys. Rome was not built in one day, Blu is steadily building its success, so we need to show patience and continued support. BDA will do the rest.

Lol. Totally agree. What do consumers do before they purchase anything (at least most good consumers)? RESEARCH the hell out of it and it's FEATURES. Comparing it to OTHER items in it's class and blah blah blah.

That's like buying a car and not knowing if it has a CD player.

I say to you again, He will be singing a different tune come 4Q 08.
Uni can't be the only company that supports HD-DVD... and Paramount is not as likely to stick with it after their 18 months.
They will see the sales gap grow... and he will either join Blu-ray, or get his ass fired.

bingo! if universal is still under contract with the hd dvd group, they cannot say that they will be supporting blu-ray. if they give an interview and are asked if they will support blu-ray, they have to say, we have no plans to at this moment. remember, this was not a universal press release, this was a website interviewing graffeo. this means nothing in my opinion as far as universal supporting blu-ray in the near future. now if universal/ge came out and said heres are q1 list of hd dvd exclusive releases, we still will not support blu-ray, then it would be note worthy, but simply giving an interview, under contract and saying, we don't plan on supporting it....phew it means nothing.
