4 - 100GB BR discs are coming. You don't even know if they will work in your HD DVD player so don't bet that it will ever come out or HD DVD "finalized" spec will come into question. I do know that a BR disk with PiP will play in a 1.0 BD player, you just won't get the PiP (which is crap anyway. PiP is not new, it's been around for years. I have it in my tv an never use it).
5 - Your right, because no way will anyone convince me that lossy sounds as good as lossless. I prove it every time I switch between a lossy track and a lossless one. Night and day difference - no 2 ways about it. BTW, the only reason the songs are stored on huge HDD on pcs is so they can put them on the space challenged MP3 players. With disk size increasing on mp3 players, people will probably go to some form of lossless encodes IF they care about it when listening on their portable player. I know I don't when I use my Ipod, but I only use my Ipod when working out or walking the dog. Any other time I listen to music, it's never via a lossy source. My guess is that there will always be space restrictions on portable devices because other forms of media will be crammed into them. Lossy = good for portable, Lossless = good for HDM.

I define a lot as $299 ($199 on black Friday) vs $399. Even at MSRP it's 25% cheaper

To point #5, I bet you have a great sound system. Most people buy the Walmart suround sound in a box. It won't make a difference to them.
