Well you see Max; there was this little invention of the airplane in which you are enabled to fly from city to city. These “airplanes” group at facilities called airports that enable the boarding and logistics that make it all possible to travel almost anywhere in a relatively short amount of time. Welcome to the 21st century my friend.

And the point is that this is the same company that does the DVD, BD, & HD ratings. They're record speaks for itself and is completely relevant. Media is media.

Witness the astounding wit of the King of Intelligence And All He Thinks About! He managed to take the infidel Max's cruel statement, and turn the tables on the fool! Surely, the Anti-Poster Max, knows what an airport and airplanes; therefore explaining the concept to him in a way that is clearly beneath his intelligence level, he has SAVAGED The Weak One! By talking to him as though he is stupid, He has shown Max to BE stupid! I BOW DOWN BEFORE YOUR WEAPONS OF SARCASM!

Everyday! I had to take a 40min train to the City when I worked there in the summer and that pissed me right off. Having to check in and out of flights everyday is, well, irritating to say the least.

Not everyone that works in the industry lives in LA or even California for that matter.

He wields Occams Razor: The more you can distill complex issues into simple catchphrases, the truer it is! Truly, not one of you morons can continue the fruitless debate with Flux88MPH! Flux88MPH: Scientist. Mathematician. Industry Expert.

I have to interject and state Flux88MPH only raised the point that the Nielson ratings should be looked at with a critical eye.

There is nothing particularly offensive to this statement, and he is right. Every firm has a client with a certain bias. The methodoligies used can be manipulated to present tailored "unbiased results".

If information is available on how Nielson goes about measuring the sale of HD media, then it would certainly be fairly transparent as to what is missing.

However, keep it up with the dripping sarcasm. This shit is indeed, gold!

So your son rips tickets and sweeps up the popcorn that falls on the floor. I would have to say that is very different than having a show. I know, I know…it’s CLOSE though huh.

Yes! Attack the poster's son! Flux88MPH is truly a wrathful God, with no mercy! How dare you compare your ugly brood to the Woman Angel With A Show!

Yeah, but sometimes, he likes "to get back at the man" and he will cut the tickets. I know for a fact that he sometimes leaves popcorn on the floor!

Thanks for the support ikbradley. However I too am enjoying the entertainment value that is included in this thread.

Shrike, please help me become the next L. Ron.

I love you Your level of sarcasm has eclipsed anything I have encountered. Tears are welling up in my eyes as I write this salute to my muse, my raison d'être, my inspiration!

See, here's the problem:

You began by asserting that Nielsen wasn't representative because it's not comprehensive enough and excludes "a lot of different demographics".

When that argument is disputed, you claim Nielsen is inaccurate because "the #1 retailer in the country" is excluded:

It is not accurate and not an “end all be all” number to ever count on…only a piece of the pie.
When the fact that Walmart is a distant third in terms of HD media sales is pointed out, you claim inside information as to the workings of Nielsen's methodologies:

and when Max produces better credentials than you as regards Nielsen's methodology, you morph to an argument that Nielsen is biased and not objective:

Not to be deterred by contrary claims that Nielsen is not biased, you produce a complete non sequitur regarding Nielsen's TV methodology:

Finally (so far!) when the inappropriate comparison is pointed out, you make sweeping generalizations:

Frankly, your credibility is suffering more than a bit.
