totally worth seeing on IMAX...I made a list of all the awesome LFE moments to keep track of so I can compare with the bluray ..hopefully the bluray will be mastered exactly the way the movie is... IMAX rules..

its just an uncompressed track. From my understanding its not used much because it takes more space on the disc than a Dolby THD or DTSHDMA.

All HD avr will accept it, including BD players.

Ive never seen it advertised on a avr

If im wrong correct me please peeps

Sounds right to me - yes - every HDMI rec would be able to process PCM/LPCM tracks.

Join Netflix or Blockbuster.com - you'll still get your blu - but won't have to buy so many of them.

I only buy the "best" - ones like Avatar, LOTR, etc. I also keep a list of what I like/want on my amazon.com wish list and my wife/kids will get me one or 2 for my Bday or Xmas.

You are missing out (big-time) without lossless. It's the difference between dry/drab and sharp and crisp. It really is worth it. After a while, DD 5-1 will sound flat, etc compared to DD True HD (and DTS-HDMA)

Did you know that each Netflix account can be setup with multiple queues? I get 3 at a time for netflix. My wife has a queue, I have a queue, and my kids have a queue. You can assign more than 1 disk to a queue, and you can set a queue at 0 (say the kids are away for a week at grandma's, etc).

The way to do this is through account profiles. You create a login for each person in account profiles and then assign how many disks that profile gets.

Check it out.

my son wanted to watch MONSTER HOUSE again... this time i have it playing much louder at -28db which is 12db lower than reference..... im completely impressed.. more than i was the first time we watched it... lots of low deep bass

the surrounds get a very good workout also...
its just kind of annoying watching that strange motion action,,,, like POLAR EXPRESS
