It took a monumentally bad effort by Paul Pierce from behind the arc, some lucky bounces near the end for the Magic and some silliness from the Celtics in not fouling Howard for the Magic to win.

Yeah lets discount the great effort all game long from the Magic.

LOL the truth is it was a tough, hard-fought game by both teams, it just didn't seem like Boston's night offensively, a lot of credit for that has to go to the tough defense the Magic played.

Could this be the beginning of the most epic collapse in playoff history?

Does this sound familiar, Boston team takes a 3-0 series lead and loses game 4 in overtime. It should, because it happened a couple weeks ago in the Flyers-Bruins series, which Boston ended up losing in 7 games. I doubt it will happen now, but the similarities are there.

I'd hardly call it a great effort.

The Magic played with desperation last night. There was no real execution on the offensive end and they looked sloppy. Most of their possessions resulted in someone kicking it out to the wing and chucking up a 3 or a desperate last second lob to Dwight.

They did play good defense at times.

The Celtics played a sub-par game and almost squeeked it out. Rondo got into early foul trouble and didn't play well. It was one game, not like anyone predicted a sweep in the first place.

Knicks center Eddy Curry was ordered to pay $75,000 a month to resolve a $1.2 million debt he defaulted on. He also had 3 cars of his cars seized, a 2009 Rolls Royce Phantom and 2 2009 Land Rovers. He took out a $570,000 loan in February 2008 with an annual interest rate of 85 percent, which is legal in Nevada. The loan ballooned to $1.2 million with interest. Curry, who made $10.5 million this season and is due $11.3 million next season, argued he couldn't afford the $75,000 a month payments because of his current bills, which include $30,000 a month for household expenses, $17,000 a month in payments to relatives, and $1,000 a month in cable and TV bills. Curry argued that because of the unpredictability of his basketball career he shouldn't have to pay. After Curry's contract expires next season it's unlikely he'll ever play in the NBA again. He has only played 10 games over the last 2 years due to injuries and ineffectiveness.

Dude whatever. Last time I checked playing with "desperation" means exactly that, playing with effort. Both teams grinded it out last night and Orlando came out on top. I'm not a Magic fan but I know when to give credit where it's due.

That would be awesome. Plus Orlando would be a much bigger challenge for LA than Boston. As a Laker fan I'd actually prefer to see a tougher challenge and hope they get to play Orlando.

Well, we'll likely get to watch Lakers crush the Celtics.. Unfortunately we can't have a series against both teams.

1-1 during the regular season...both games decided by 1 point and that was with a healthy Bynum.

A+ analysis Monkey...

And Orlando beat the Celtics 3 out of 4 times in the regular season.

The Cavaliers record was what exactly during the regular season??

If if doesn't happen I'm not going to hide like somebody else did regards to Cleveland I'm not analyst, just going by my gut and what I feel the Lakers are better matched against Boston than Orlando.

Default For Their Next Trick...

Orlando needs to push the ball down the floor...speed up the game and not let the defense set...make those older legs keep up with them. They have the personnel that fits. Jeff Van Gundy pointed this out as a factor in keeping them in the lead last night. Atlanta did use it with great success during the season against Orlando's current draw.
