Now I feel like a nut.
![]() ![]() ![]() It's purely an aesthetic choice for me. The thick cases stick out to me, and I like them better when they match the other cases. I think it's especially frivilous since most of these only have one disc in them! I make my collection match my personal wants and needs, and nobody else's; it's not like I plan on reselling these titles or keeping them in 100% mint condition. I'm adjusting them for practical (and hopefully regular) usage. I figure trimming a slight end off is no big deal. Very little of the overall image and information is lost, if any at all. Heck, these inserts almost could fit in a regular case; they're just off by a hair or so. I managed to get my UK copy of "Inglourious Basterds" to fit in a regular case without trimming; it's brilliant! I decided that I liked it that way so much that I wanted to do the same to all the other UK movies I had; they just wouldn't work as easily. All that being said, I'm still not trimming/replacing cases that have multiple discs or copies, ones with slipcovers, or any of the region B titles I have. |
