the same hd dvd boys over on the nielson thread at avs are trying hard to prove that the 130k for spidey 3 includes the trilogy also. they're saying blu-ray should've won by more. those guys are so full of it. AVS needs to shut that thread down and ban some of those guys. Plus, they're saying the A2 sale hasn't had its impact yet.

Yes, look for the link on the first page. Blu killed this past week and they took 9 of the top 10 best sellers for hi-def movies.

Guys, i really don't think that we should go with the 200,000 plus sales...

the 130,000 was probably a combination of both....

Just look at these numbers....
Spidey 3 100%
Spidey Tri 72%
300 (BD HD) 10.38%
300 (BD) 6.56%
PE (BD HD) 6.67%

As opposed to two weeks ago when
Transformers 100%
300 (BD HD) 5.43%
300 (BD) 3.37%
PE -----Not even top 10

Transformers made 300 combined go down to 5.43
Spidey made it go down to 10.38 so unless for some reason 300 sales doubled for both 300 HD and BD last week, there is NO WAY WHATSOEVER that spidey alone beat transformers. Its probably combined sales. This would also be in line with spidey not cracking the top 15 at Amazon. But combined it probably would have.

I won't say anymore because those numbers speak for themselves. I am just happy that we killed them this week and Rat will kill them next week.

Do numbers from websites who hold sales, such as http://www.jr.com/JRSectionView.proc...romos/Movie03/ help with the counts? Or will this show up only on POs that retailers make with the studios?

Don't all the people who bought those just think they are high quality upconverting DVD players anyways?

I don't think the a2 fire sale would affect last weeks numbers yet. We may see some increase in the next couple of weeks but i doubt it. My theory is that people looking for super bargains like $99 hd-a2 aren't going to spend $20 - $30 a disc casually. Whereas someone that spends $400-$600 on a blu-ray player probably won't have too much problem spending $20-$30 on a disc. Same with DVD players. People that buy the $50 dvd players probably buy less movies than someone that forks over $300 for a dvd player.

lol. Any thoughts on Aviator, assuming that you have seen it? I'm trying to broaden my taste.

I think people are refering to the free movies they were giving away at the point of sale with the player. Those were counted as a sale even though they were given away for free (like the sale with the X360 add on)

What if we used the HD DVD fuzzy math where the Spider-man box set is worth 3x:
Spider-man box-set: 100.00
Spider-man 3: 46.33
Transformers: 14.56
Meet the Robinsons: 4.09
300: 3.04

HD-DVD was practically giving away players and the 40 Gig PS3 came out. It is not at all hard to believe that the number of '300' units sold is up from the Transformers week.

Neither 300, nor Planet Earth were part of the BOGO during Transformers week.

You could be right, but you can't say it is definitive.

This is the link the Blu-Ray Forum provided me. It just continuously says "Please wait nxtbook is opening". Nothing happens. I waited 15 minutes, nothing. This was the link I used:

http://www.nxtbook.com/nxtbooks/ques...1107/index.php

Is this correct or is there a different or better link to access the data?

Might want to go here:

And make sure you have the latest version of Adobe flash.
