I have a 605 that has worked flawlessly from day one. Every company has had problem models. People think highly of Marantz and their current 5004 and 6004 receivers are dying within weeks of purchase. That doesn't discredit the entire company's products, and your issue with your receiver doesn't mean Onkyo's products are junk either.

Aside from that your cosign of the other member's post doesn't mean his post was constructive. He didn't offer any reasons whatsoever, and you are basing your opinion on one experience. With the high volume of receivers that Onkyo sells of course there will be issues that pop up from time to time. This still accounts for a very small percentage of buyers as the majority of Onkyo buyers are very happy and have no issues with their receivers.
