They are all movies.

I think his point is that a "Movie Lover" loves to watch movies, lots of them, its their hobby.

A "film Enthusiast" is also a movie lover, but they also care about the integrity of the film/movie. They care if its taken care of, properly stored, properly exhibited, properly scanned, remastered, transfered and represents what the movie/film was originally meant to LOOK LIKE.

A Film enthusiast is simply a movie lover that is even more obsessive about the same hobby.

Yes. They even think it looks great. The grain is gone!!! That's all they can say... I'm afraid this will encourage Fox to do the same with Aliens...

I agree, the last paragraph really shows the reviewer doesn't seem to know all that much about it

Make no mistake, Predator has never looked so good. All the grain and dust has been completely removed from the entire movie.

The fact that he throws dust removal and grain removal into the same sentence makes me seriously doubt whether this reviewer knows what he's talking about:
- grain is inherent to the picture. Some people hate it, others love it. But it's not a defect, it's part of the original film
- dust is not inherent to the picture. It's a defect due to the aging of the film and should in all cases be cleaned up when possible.

That's why you read sometimes about 'grain lovers' but never read something like 'dust lovers'. The fact that he throws it all into the same pot makes me very skeptical as to the value of this review.

I'm pretty sure that the alien transfers have already been finalized for a while now.

If it's shot on film of any kind I say it's a film.

Even films shot purely on digital cameras have a printed film version. A great example would be District 9. It was shot with the Red One in 1.85:1 and was also used as a 35mm on film.
