Taking a very honest look at the state of affairs... I don't see Universal or Warner Bros changing positions until late 2008 or early 2009.

I think they are entrenched and the status quo will remain for the next 12 months. After another year of BD consistently outperforming HD in raw software sales, they will be forced to switch by next year end to resolve the ailing Home Enterainment industry on DVD. By then, mandates will come down from Corp to reinvigorate DVD sales using the extra capacity on BD to supply extras and upsells.
