That's a good question...they certainly do look like Hockey helmets, that's for sure...

You're right. It was a Cooper SK2000. Chris Osgood use to wear it before the Red Wings found a younger/better goalie

Here's the link I found: http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=76514

Also, now you to can make your own Tron suit: http://www.tron-sector.com/articles/article.aspx?id=66

I haven't seen the first one in years, so hopefully the blu-ray will be stellar. I just saw the release date is in November??? Ugh.

I rarely get this geek'd about an upcoming movie, but every photo so far has been pure sex. Just judging from the design alone, I can see how non-Tron 1 fans would get into it. If people were wetting their pants over 12-foot tall blue smurfs in a jungle, then this looks like an acid trip compared to that.

If the token 'c.g.i. movie of the week that tries to be witty by using nonstop pop culture references' (thank you Shrek for creating that awful trend) can make $400 mil worldwide, then I don't see why this wouldn't make a killing.

That's odd, I just looked at the picture three posts up and saw it was in December.
(And that, picked because they thought it worked for the blue Smurfs in the jungle.)

He was talking about Tron on Blu-ray when he mentioned the November release date, not Tron Legacy.

I'm more excited for the soundtrack than the movie.

Thumbs up

If only the original Tron toys were this cool when I was younger.

Here's one reason to get the I-Phone (looks like a docking station? but idk). More goodies & toys are in the link below.

They screened a suprise trailer at Comic Con over the weekend, and it was a huge hit with the audience. When Jeff Bridges was revealed to be in the project that also got a huge pop from the audience who remembered him from the original film. It was an amazing trailer, and it definitely heightened everyone's interest in the movie.

Jeff bridges was revealed to be in it like three gets ago after the first trailer. And Comic-con isn't till July 27th.

I read in Film Magazine that the film isn't 100% 3-D. Just the gaming world of Tron will be in 3-D. Don't know if that's been talked about or not.

I'm pretty sure in the trailer the 'normal' world is in 3-D But if that's what they are going for, the I can side with that, it'll be a really cool way to show to difference between to two world, the only problem I can see with that is the audience getting up an complaining to the manger because there film isn't in 3-D.

yeah. I've got no problem with it. Besides Avatar this is the only movie I want to see in 3-D. Here's what they wrote in the Mag

Quote:
THE 3D WILL BE CONFINED TO THE GAME WORLD

This ain't no Avatar, with actors frolicking through a swirling wonderland of synthetic ambience. Thankfully, the producers have seen the value of contrast and impact over blanket gimmickry, so the outside world is kept pure and free of into-screen pen pointing. "We are using a custom built camers made by the same guys who worked on Avatar", says director Joseph Kosinski. "But our approach is more like The Wizard of Oz. Ninety-eight per cent of the 3D takes place in the parallel world of Tron. With Avatar, it's 3D from the first shot to the last."
