I'd rate them:

Identity: 4.5/5 (LOVED IT!!!!!!!!)

Supremacy: 3/5

Ultimatum: 4/5 (VERY GOOD)

I didn't care much for Supremacy. Here's what I said back in my review:
[Show spoiler] Unfortunately, Supremacy I did not like. The plot was just a mess, without any really clear explanation of who on the CIA side was dealing with the Russians, and how. I even paused and rewinded at important parts, and it was still gobbly gook. The PQ was also nowhere near as clear as Identity and Ultamatum, more washed out (again, i'm judging it on the Identity-Ultamatum scale) and just did not stand up.

Maybe i need to watch it again, lol.
I remember being satisfied with simply taking the ending at face value.
The movie as a whole was just so taut and claustrophobic. Plus, i love the whole "reverse twist ending" or whatever the heck you call it.

no dude, I'm an idiot. I should have said Supremacy (the Russian one). That's the one I'd give 3 stars and the one I couldn't figure out the plot, despite rewinding the blu repeatedly.

I'd rank them the same as you did at the moment. I still have yet to watch my copy of Ultimatum on Blu-ray yet, but I have a feeling the rankings will stay the same. I'll probably watch it in a month or two. I'm spacing out my Damon/Greengrass movies since I just watched Green Zone a little over a week ago.

for all the great work Greengrass did with the two sequels, have you ever listened to his commentaries?! oh man, what a snoozer for someone who makes such great action movies he certainly is a boring man to listen to

BTW: how was Green Zone? i heard with was a "more political" Bourne film.

Zombieland

absolutely LOVE this movie. hysterical.
although i'm almost positive Jesse Eisenberg is Michael Cera with curly hair, and one day we all will figure this out, Eisenberg is terrific here. Woody Harrelson is also fantastic and steals the show as the bad ass Tallahassee. some great, great dialogue:

"you're a peppery little spit *** aren't you?"

"Snowballs?! Where are the god damn Twinkies?!"

"it's not the taste, it's the consistency"

"don't kill me with my own gun!"

and an absolutely, jaw dropping, laugh of the century cameo
[Show spoiler]by Bill ******* Murray!
and
[Show spoiler]death of Bill ******* Murray!
when that scene happens, i laughed for i kid you not 15 straight minutes. i almost died. i've probably said "i laughed so hard i almost died" before, but my god, this scene got me so very close to death. and every time i watch it it's still absolutely hilarious.

and the gorgeous Emma Stone is here in full force
so you have Woody Harrelson as a bad ass, great dialogue, zombies, some goofy / scary moments, and absolutely legendary cameo, a gorgeous woman, guns, gore, and wonderful PQ. how could you not LOVE this movie?

the ONLY 2 complaints i have are:

1) it's too short. at 83 minutes, time flies by, but i guess it's better to be a shorter film than over staying your welcome (a lot of films fall for this)

and

2) for as smart as the girls are in the film, why oh why would they
[Show spoiler]get on a freakin' rollercoaster ride and think that wouldn't attract zombies to you? at least they had their guns, but still, their so smart and well planned the rest of the film, but they fudge this up royally
and because i can't overlook that tiny, tiny flaw.

the film does not get a 5/5 from me, but instead gets a 4.75/5. it's so much better than a 4.5/5, so i gave it the 4.75/5. could watch this movie every day forever and always find it enjoyable. a great blind buy!

4.75/5 or 9.9/10

No, I've never listened to any of his commentaries. I guess deep down, I somehow knew that they weren't worth my time.

I liked it and am glad to have it in my collection. It is political, but I wouldn't exactly call it "Bourne in Baghdad". It's similar in ways, which can't really be helped since it has the same director and star, but I think it still does enough to set itself apart from the Bourne series.

Great review for Zombieland, btw.

I hated the Bourne movies. I recorded and rented all three of them and watched over two days. I believe I gave the first two a 2.5/5 and the third a 2/5.

Just wasn't for me

I gave Zombieland a 4.25/5, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I mean it was an
[Show spoiler]epic tale of a man and his search for the world's last twinkie

I put it as my 11th movie of last year.

I hadn't seen them in a few years so I just started recently and I've already watched the first and the second. Imo, the first is the best and the second is right behind it. There were a few things that bothered me about the third, but it's been a long time so I'll post back when I watch that one, maybe this weekend

Ouch, well maybe give them another chance someday. When I saw the first one in the theaters, I guess I was expecting a cool action movie so I was kinda disappointed. When I revisited it a year or 2 later, I loved it and now I'm a big fan of the series.

I watched It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World on TCM hi-def. I was disappointed at the PQ quality of this classic comedy. I want this to be released on blu someday and if Turner's version is the best out there then the restoration is going to take some time. I also want all the deleted footage to be replaced in the body of the film, not as a bonus feature like they did with the dvd. MGM owns this title so it's anyone's guess as to what will happen with it and when.

Gotcha. Hey just curious, how do you rate the Fast and Furious movies?

I love them all, but I say 1,4,3,2

Tokyo Drift is the only one I don't really like. I don't dislike it enough that I wouldn't sit through it again, but I would only watch it again if I was at a friend's house and they wanted to watch it (which is how I originally saw it actually).

My order is 4, 1, 2, 3 (4>1>>2>>>>>3).

Both 4 and 1 get a 4.5/5 from me, they are without a doubt the best two imo. It took me up until recently to finally decide which one I enjoyed more, but I finally decided on Fast&Furious by a very small amount.

2 gets a 4/5, its not as good as the other two and isn't a great movie by any means, but I still really enjoy watching it.

My score for 3 has varied a little, but I'd say it is probably a 2/5 for me after repeat viewings; it just didn't click with me. Ironically enough, this was the first one of the series I saw.

And I'm obviously anticipating the fifth film next year

Tyrese will be returning and Dwayne Johnson has signed on to be the antagonist.

i was never a James Bond kid growing up, so my action / espionage type film love is associated with the Bourne trilogy. love all 3 films - even though they do all follow the same pattern of set up and execution basically.
but they are extraordinarily entertaining to me.

The Bourne Ultimatum is the 2nd best film (if i remember correctly) of the three. my only major complaint (which isn't even much of a complaint) is how they handle the ending. after this excruciating journey to find out where Jason Bourne comes from, the ending is... well, less than exciting or gut punching. so aside from that lack of a "whoa" moment, the film is essentially solid gold.

another great car chase sequence (or two, or three, or four), a terrific rooftop chase, a magnificent hand-to-hand martial arts fight, and more eerie awesome "i can see you in your office" moments, just like the previous films. although i do find it odd that with the rooftop sequence, that entire scene - which lasts a damn long time - has absolutely NOTHING to do with
[Show spoiler]the main storyline. that whole scene comes from wanting Nicky dead because they know she's with Bourne and helping him out. so that whole moment, for as awesome as it is, doesn't push the movie forward. which is odd because it's amazing, but is all for a quick side plot that goes nowhere after that
but not that i really care. i love that scene(s) and few films have anything as riveting as that.

a terrific way to go out for the series - and even though there are talks for a fourth film (or are they filming now? don't care, don't wanna know ) i hope they don't - unless everyone who made the first 3 so great are back and have enthusiasm about the project.

5/5
The camera work and editing are brilliant in that scene. When Bourne jumps from one building and into the other buildings window its just incredible. The camera man flew from one building to the other suspended by a cable. Its like they needed a stunt-cameraman to achieve it, and the result is breathtaking. We are RIGHT THERE with him when he maked the psycho run-jump.

Pure

Love all three as well.

I like the three Bourne films because I think the story is interesting and they're entertaining, but I can't stand the editing and directing. Handheld camera work and quick cuts detract greatly from action scenes and are unnecessary (when very shaky) for non-action scenes, for the most part, imo.
