a bugger as it's one of my fave ever movies
My copy also doesn't work in my U.S. PS3, loads up the Dendy intro then an error screen, spewin, gave my DVD copy away.

Just came across this film. Looks like a winner. I just bought REC Spanish import which is also 1080i 50hz. Gives me another reason to get a 50hz capable player, which I have been told there are a few of sold in the U.S.

Sorry to hear that. It does say 1080/50i on the database. But hopefully a local release will come out for you

I dunno. I wouldn't hold your breath on a Region A release, especially with the film being 1080I 50hz and the studio saying any masters worldwide would be 1080I. Just sounds like one that won't make it onto BD in Region A

It's a great film and if you enjoy it then try and avoid the follow-up at all costs. The first is a classic drama the 2nd is a cheap comedy rehash.

You might be waiting some time. Why not import the Aus version? You should be able to pick it up for £15-£16

Arrow "Once Were Warriors".

Heavy film, but I like it (New Zealand). I got it on DVD, and if a decent Blu-ray transfer appears sometimes, I'll get it. I like the music in it too, its eerie, goes with the heaviness of the subject.
Very heavy film though, not for all taste for sure.

You really have to see it before you avoid it though... it should be available for rental in Aussie?

I'll add it to my quickflix que, but if I like it I think i'll wait like I did for in bruges (for a 1080p 24 frames release).

4% speed up irks me.
