STAR TREK-- saw it, liked it very much

SPIDERMAN 3-- I love the series and while this one was my least favorite I thought it was still very good

X-MEN 3 -- I like the entire series equally

THE UNBORN-- I've seen a ton of horror flicks-- this one was perfectly entertaining to me-- nothing great but not "the worst film of the year" as so many have said

i loved Spiderman 3 i thought it was way better then Spiderman 2..
and the villians in it were very cool
had a very emotional ending.. and
it was definately my favorite Spiderman. besides the first

and everybody picks that one as the MUST hate film of the trilogy

I haven't seen the first Star Trek movie (unless you're talking about the new one which was awesome and far better than your average Abrams stuff) but I've heard the sequels are better and that's what has kept me from watching the first. I just don't think the sequels are any good.

Spider Man 3 might not be as good as the second, but I actually still like it better than the first. I think the first gets more and more boring with each viewing.

X-Men 3 - same as Spider Man 3. Not the best one, but it still eclipses the crummy original (although I might just be saying that because I think Singer doesn't know how to direct anything that isn't Superman)

I thought the comic books did the same thing, though

It's Pat - it's on the IMDB bottom rated 100 movies of all time at #96. I think it's one of the best SNL movies ever made. Other than "It's Pat" I really only like Coneheads and The Blues Brothers.

Leonard Part VI - is #68 in IMDB's bottom 100. I thought this movie was great. Zany slapstick and absurdist shenanigans where a lot of movies fail to pull it off. Plus, I liked Gloria Foster better as Medusa Jones than I did as the Oracle in The Matrix.

Freddy Got Fingered
- It was voted the worst movie of the year, in 2001. I own it and think it's great. It actually shows a sophisticated side of Tom Green. He does a great job of satirizing film at large. He isn't making parodies that are just taking details of existing movies and making them absurd enough to laugh at. He's taking all movies, in general, and showing how absurd they all are by exposing the formula and taking a dump on it.

Howard the Duck - A lot of people think it's too goofy. Maybe I just like it because I grew up on it, but I doubt it. Most movies I grew up on fail to hold their appeal as I get older. Howard the Duck, however, might not be Time Bandits, but it's still pretty golden.

Judge Dredd - Sure, it isn't the truest adaptation of the comics and I understand that pissing a lot of my fellow Dredd fans off. But, I think this movie is, possibly, one of the best action movie of the 1990's.

There seems to be alot of Rob Zombie bashing if you browse around the horror threads. I don't get it because I think if you are a fan of 70's horror and genre films that you would like RZ's movies. Personally THE DEVIL'S REJECTS is one of my all time favorite movies. HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES has it's issues but I still like it and the HALLOWEEN remake was good I thought. Oddly I didn't care too much for HALLOWEEN 2 until I saw the director's cut which I thinks majorly improved the movie. I think alot of the hate just came from people who thought the HALLOWEEN remake was pointless. I'm not for remakes but if they are there and they are good then I can't deny that.

Also people seem to dislike the ALIEN VS. PREDATOR movies. Personally I liked them better than PREDATOR and PREDATOR 2. Don't get me wrong I like the originals but I thought the AVP movies had an X-Files vibe to them that I really enjoyed.

I also liked SP3 but I like the first two movies a lot more. I've watched them so many times and they never get old. I've only seen SP3 a few times. Other than Peter Parker going all emo, it was good. I didn't follow the comics so everything with Venom and all that didn't bother me. And yeah the ending was very emotional, that's one of things I remember about the movie most of all.

I noticed that a lot of people hate The Strangers

I just saw House of 1000 Corpses for the first time. It had a bit of a nineties vibe, which I hate, but the movie isn't garbage because of it. Devils Rejects was total 1970's and I thought it was great. It made me stop hating Freebird.
I still haven't seen the Halloween remakes, but I have to admit that it's because I'm a big John Carpenter fan and I think the first two were perfect. I'd be more likely to see them if they were a continuation in the series rather than a reboot. But, just because a bunch of fans didn't think it should have been made doesn't mean the movie itself is terrible.

I haven't seen requiem, but my problem with AVP was the PG-13 rating. Two creatures for whom their whole point is to kill and mutilate in a PG-13 movie. It just didn't work for me, so I refused to see Requiem on the basis of it being an apology sequel.

Totally true on both movies.
As far as Max Overdrive goes, I wish Stephen King directed more of his own movies, because that one is so great.
And the only thing that bothered me about T3 was the female android. Everything else I actually liked better than the Cameron movies. I mean nothing beats the scene, in T2, where they storm Cyberdyne, but I really don't like the first two much aside from that. James Cameron is good at action, but he's bad at storytelling (in my opinion).
I thought T3 was just as good as T2.
Plus, there was no Linda Hamilton voiceover.

The one movie I really can't understand why people don't like it is The Flintstones, what is so bad about it?

I watched it last night and thoroughly enjoyed and can see nothing in that film that you could say is awful. I'm not saying it's perfect, but there's nothing there that you could say is truely bad. John Goodman is a superb actor and not only does he look like Fred from the original cartoon, but also sounds like him. It is visually very good, and intone with the Hanna-Barbera cartoon. I love how they take modern-day objects and turn in upside down so it looks like it was used in the stone-age. I loved it when I was 4, and still love it today. It is a great family film and has an easy plot to follow for everyone. In my view it is one of the most over-criticized movies ever, and I think superb.

For me...I have ALWAYS loved "The Mummy" movies! To me they're fun, summer, popcorn movies! I don't get all of the hate for these movies? Also... I LOVE "The Pirates Of The Carribean" franchise! Yes..the second & third movies too! Once again...take them for what they are... fun, action-packed, movies! I think people LOOK into movies too much sometimes. I just sit back and enjoy!!

I was excited to see this thread after getting home from the movies last night I'm going to have to go in the wildly unpopular opinion and say The Last Airbender absolutely didn't deserve an 8% from critics on RT.com

I can't put my finger on why so many people bash on M Night, or what they expect from him anymore. The Last Airbender had some shoddy acting, and the plot got a little contrived at some points, but it was by no means a pile of garbage. I think the action scenes were freaking incredible (THANK YOU for no shaky camera, I could actually see whats going on) and the effects were top notch. I was involved the entire movie because I didn't go in KNOWING it would suck like so many other people did I guess.

I can understand if it's not loyal to the actual TV show (never saw it) why people would be upset, but personally put it in my top 3 movies this summer. Now for Inception

Why would anyone not love the Mummy 1,2.
They are incredibly entertaining movies, and actually good horror movies as well.
The Mummy 1 always freaked me out.

I thought Mummy 1 was pretty entertaining. Not a great film, but entertaining enough. I don't remember the second one that well.

The only horror portrayed on screen is that Rachel Weisz wasn't in the 3rd one.

These are more or less action comedies, with no real threat of danger. Entertaining though.

Maybe. I just found the idea of A mummy rising from the dead with a curse on bringing chaos to Earth pretty frightening in itself.

And lets accept it, the mummy looks pretty damn freaky when he first rises from the dead as a corpse.

I think most folks say it's terrible compared to the other 2 Terminator movies (w/ Arnold). True, it is weaker, but overall still a solid movie in a great franchise. It's tough not to compare it to the other 2, but on it's own right, it's a great action scifi film.

I'd have to rank them as they came out in terms of how much I like them.

Though Salvation and T3 are a close tie in my eyes.

A hamburger doesn't look as good compared to a steak, but on it's own, I'd wolf it down.

The reason why I pretend like X-Men 3 didn't happen is because I grew up reading and loving the lore and history from the comics and early series cartoon itself.

*Spoilers*

Cyclops and Professor X are instrumental to the series, and the entire Phoenix saga has a celestial epic-ness to it. None of that was conveyed in the movie, and they erased Cyclops and Professor X like it was nothing.
