EDIT: Just read we have the same tv. Love the picture. Produces A LOT of heat on game mode though lol.
I never take it off my "calibrated" preset. I thought that game mode messed with the colors and gamma too much.

I'm concerned with loss of blacks (check out the Plasma forum to see what I mean) but thus far don't seem to be experiencing it. It feels like IR is getting worse though. Overall I have very few complaints and really like the set.

Don't expect the subdude to be a miracle worker, but it will help isolate the sub. It may be just the ticket for you. I keep mine because it reduces vibrations and coupling in my old house. In the basement, it feels like a giant is walking overhead without it.

I haven't calibrated the tv. I did my research, saw lots of good reviews on the Panasonic, and the fact that some of the Pioneer plasma guys now work for Panasonic was icing on the cake. I always figured calibrating was kind of gimmicky, but maybe I need to look into more.

I definitely need the isolation as well. The house was built in the 70s I think, so not ancient and not new. The main issue is that it's a duplex, so I don't want to shake the neighbor's side of the house.

Ah hell, you big Pu$$y (jkg ), but ya' gotta do what ya' gotta do, huh? (or watch it in the afternoon if possible or early on a wk-end, 12pm, 1 or 2pm start times). Did you ever find out WHO complained about it? Prob. some OLDER folks in the area or someone with a newborn perhaps (?).

I Have that movie but haven't watched it yet, tho' it Is on the list & the Review (excerpt below) Does give the Audio a nice

"The sound-stage is immersive when need be, reserved when called for, and each scene is audibly impressive. Bass is sometimes subtle, sometimes powerful, but always clean and precise in its power. Dialogue reproduction is excellent. Nick Nolte's scruffy voice shines as his lines flow from the center channel. The soundtrack is fairly reserved -- until the Hulk finally breaks free form the inner confines of friendly scientist Bruce Banner. The track explodes in a symphony of Earth- and ear-shattering effects, as the sound-stage becomes immersed in heart pounding thuds, crashes, and bangs in chapter 11. Not only does the subwoofer sound out every step the Hulk takes, but the surrounds come alive with a myriad of activity that all seamlessly integrates with the visuals we see on display. Every scene featuring the Hulk as he destroys property is an amazing sonic feat. Chapter 15 features plenty of broken structures, shattering glass, machine gun fire, and a car alarm, all making for another impressive sequence. As expected, the film's later action sequences in the desert are reference-quality, audibly. The Hulk never misses a beat thanks to this fine lossless soundtrack".

I'll do my best - Might be able to watch it either Tuesday or Thursday (my off days). I haven't seen HULK in a while - unlike the Ed Norton one, which I've seen/watched a few times at least - & the movie itself is okay, but as usual, I'm really looking forward to the Audio & what the "Dualies" might provide.

Hey buddy - yes I did, this week actually. Funny thing, my 2nd Sub (the one left of my couch) came dis-connected but I didn't realize til' after watching a few scenes & thinking, "Hmmm, that sounded pretty intense (LFE) but not as much as I thought it would", then looking over & seeing the disconnected cable. (1 of my 2 cats, I think, was the culprit).

Overall, the Audio is excellent, some really good Low-End in some of the Explosions in the action sequences (what Few of them there were). Great Front left/right seperation, clear center dialogue, excellent surround use, etc. Movie wise though, for me, it was just kind of Slow. I mean the first Action doesn't take place til' 45 minutes into the movie!? PQ is Damn Impressive, but again, they really backloaded this with the action IMO. I'll prob. try to sell this eventually.

I still love my PA-120!!!

It's been about 3-4 months (I think) and man it makes a big difference. Some movies have more low end stuff than others, but it sure adds alot to the experience.

If you are on the fence - go for it! And don't forget there is a coupon for 10% off (somewhere on this thread).

Just finished ordering the PA-120 (black) from amazon for $230 including shipping.

Estimated arrival date is July 23-28. I can't wait!

Also ordered the Sony STR-dn1010 7.1 w/HDMI 1.4 (3D) passthrough today.

Both should be arriving around the same time next week. I've bought over half a dozen blurays the past few weeks but have not watched any of them yet waiting for this sound system to come in. Once it does I'm going to watch every bluray in my collection over again

Make sure you set it up right (directions come with the PA-120) and it will rock your house.

You'll love this thing.
