Alright, since the game is coming out tomorrow, what is everyone's favorite hints tips and strategies for the first one?

I was never that great, but there was nothing funnier than taking out an entire squadron of battlecruisers/carriers with a (muta) decoy followed by wave(s) of scourges. I also loved playing around with hallucination and arbiter recall.

Scourges are fun, but I've had great luck while playing with Battlecruisers and Carriers.

My favorite starting off tactic against an opponent while playing Protoss is pretty fun, you run over with one of your Probes and create stuff behind their base near their resources and just blow them up right off the bat with Photon Cannons.

If you kill their resource gatherers then the game is essentially won without too much stress.

I've had the beta for 2 months but only played it twice, wasn't that interested even though I played the crap out of part 1. Now I'm very excited that its almost finally here! Will be playing campaign first.

yeah, I'm going with campaign first. Blizzard games always have pretty engaging narratives. Love reading the instruction booklets for the lore too (got the strategy guide just so I have something to look at while I wait for my new computer).

that'd be cool, never really tried that early on (although I was a fan of the photon cannon lines at chokepoints. Might not work on zerg though because of the creep!

If you position the photon canons directly on the other side of the minerals and gas it works surprisingly well.

If you're a Zerg fan, I'd suggest gathering with your 4 gatherers first, until you hit 200 mineral, then take one of those gatherers and build a spawning pool.

As soon as the spawning pool gets made, immediately make zerglings and rush the opponent.

4 pool almost never works in game lol. 6 pool isn't work well at all either.

yeah, that does work in my experience for the win on smaller maps or ones where you know where your opponent is but most people now (probably more than ever now that terran can submerge supply depots) wall off the entrance to their base.

I like playing with all the races (probably the reason I'm not great with any of them, lol). I'm really looking forward to the new units. Got the strategy guide yesterday and am getting the game in the mail today... still waiting on the computer though!
