Can someone explain Thor's powers/abilities? (I know, I know, I just never quite understood what he could do with the hammer, and just how strong he was).

He's tough, and nearly and strong as the Hulk.

With the hammer he has power over storms and the hammer itself is indestructible.

That's the basics, someone else can fill in the rest.

Wow, nearly as strong as the Hulk?

So, is it just lightening he can control - or is more than that - like wind and tornados. . .

I was always unclear if he would fly, or was it using the hammer to fly?

if you want to know more about thor i dont know how to link stuff but i did a search of this . Marvel comics thor tribute :the power of the mighty thor and mjolnir . There you will really see what thor can do and has done with comic book references too .Oh and thor is pound for pound the strongest super hero in the marvel universe . Yes the hulk is almost as strong but he weights like twice as much .

I doubt Thor is as strong as Hulk. He's strong but not that strong.

Correct, he's incredibly strong...but he isn't as strong as Hulk.

Not when the hulk is mad anyway . I do believe he is stronger than the hulk when both are at rest .

He used to but not anymore . At one time if he was separated from his hammer for a min or two he would change back to donald blake but that enchantment has been removed from his hammer and i think it was placed on beta ray bills hammer . You should check out that web site because just saying he is strong and can make storms is really selling thor short he can do so much more that that .

Hulk DEMOLISHED Thor in an older Thor comic. He was kicking his ass righteously before Thor pissed him off towards the end of the issue, and the beating got even worse afterwards. Thor cannot defeat Hulk. Ever.

i dont know about the hulk but thor could box wrestle or anything else you wanted to do since he is a master of armed and unarmed combat . His fighting skills have been honed over hundreds even thousands of years so he would be pretty hard to beat even with no powers . With thors fighting skills he has beaten from what i understand people with many times his strength .

Neither side is going to change their mind regardless of the evidence from the comics presented.
