Neither side is going to change their mind.
Has anyone ever beaten the Hulk?

Didn't The Thing battle the Hulk?

I think everyone has tried to be the Hulk. Basically, all you can do is hope to get him changed back to Bruce Banner.

There is some MAJOR geekage going on right now - hope my wife doesn't see this.

there are all kinds of ways to beat him but fighting him probably isnt the best strategy . I do have a question about the hulk though in the movie when he was fighting the abomination and was loosing if betty wasent there would hulk have lost ?

Neither side is going to change their mind regardless of the evidence from the comics presented.
I agree. There is no way to win this debate. Hopefully the Avengers movie will give us the answer

Yes but for the fanboys that would just be the film incarnations of the two characters, it wouldn't do much to end arguments that have been going only for decades.

Default Here comes the toys!!

Questions surrounding this display at the San Diego Comic Con have finally been answered by Hasbo; here's your chance to have your own Mjolnir!

This year's Hasbro Comic Con booth revealed many surprises for Marvel fans. The action figures of Captain America, Thor, Loki and Odin for the Captain America and THOR movies were the probably the most unnoticed by the teeming masses. The most noticeable were the three giant display of the Iron Man 2 armor, Captain America shield and Thor's hammer, Mjolnir. I recently received word from one of the Hasbro representatives who was working the booth at this year's Con that the Thor display showed the actual Mjolnir toy which will be released in stores to correlate with the film.

The hammer is slightly smaller in scale (and noticeably thinner) than the actual prop used for the film. The Rune-style etchings on the hammer match the ones in the film, as well. The button located near the top of the handle emits "thunder" and striking sound effects when activated:

What we have yet to see is the Thor helmet Hasbro also designed to go hand in hand with this toy. As of right now, they will be sold separately.

Default Some details about the movie.

Quote:
In Addition to narrowing down who the multitalented actor Colm Feore will be portraying, Drew McWeeny of HitFix has revealed a few additional elements to Marvel's much anticipated THOR movie.

As we all know Marvel Studios dominated opposite studios, last Saturday showing footage for Captain America: The First Avenger, THOR, and teased with The Avengers at the San Diego Comic-Con. And Drew Mcweeny not only having the opportunity to visit the highly secretive set of THOR while filming was underway, but attending this significant panel as well. And of course seeing the footage released for the God of Thunder.

Well in his overall thought on the panel, he reveals a few things unknown to be included in the movie. Check them out in bullets below.
[Show spoiler]
  • "If we were curious about how much "Thor" and "Captain America" would be directly related, (the raw Captain America footage) answered the question for us. One of the coolest sets I saw when I visited the "Thor" set was Odin's vault where he keeps all of the most dangerous items in the Universe, the things he has collected from all the remote corners of the Universe. It's part trophy-room, part evidence locker. Odin keeps them there so no one can use them to bring about Ragnarok. And, evidently, not everything he put in there has remained in there, because the scene we watched involved The Red Skull (Hugo Weaving) searching this tomb for something he refers to as "The Tesseract."
  • Odin casts Thor out, strips him of his powers, and drops Mjolnir to Earth as a reminder to Thor that he can't lift it until he's worthy.
  • Thor does something truly awful in act one of the film that sets off a chain of events that eventually destroys an entire world and ignites a war. Odin is furious, since he was just about to hand off control of Asgard to Thor, and now he's had to completely reassess his son.
  • There's more footage from Thor's attempt at escape from S.H.I.E.L.D. custody, and we see what Thor was trying to find... Mjolnir, his hammer, embedded in concrete. He tries to pull it free but fails utterly.
  • And there were shots of Heimdall and a hint of how the Rainbow Bridge works.

DCMF - I assume that the The Infinity Gauntlet, which was revealed on the SDCC floor Sunday, is one of the dangerous items Odin has locked. And we can only wonder what awful thing Thor does that destroys another world, and the way specific way Heimdall (Idris Elba) works the Bifrost Rainbow bridge, that connects to other worlds.

for what it's worth, Fred Hembeck is the only person I've known to be strong/smart enough to not only beat the Hulk, but kill him.

old school comic nerds, you know what I'm talking about

@MCT - I had that issue!!

As for the Thing beating the Hulk. It nearly happened, ages ago. The Thing had mutated into an even stronger version of himself, but with a more angular and spikey look to his "skin" and at that time the Hulk was in his grey version, smarter but not as strong as the green hulk.

Basically the Thing beat the heck out Hulk, but ultimately the smarter and sneakier grey Hulk set the Thing up so a load of debris (or a building, I can't remember) fell on him and the Hulk walked away with a smirk.

There was a Superman Hulk crossover where the Man of Steel stood his ground against the Hulk who couldn't budge him, eventually he tired and turned back into Banner.

The thing with the Hulk is that he has no upper strength limit, the madder he gets, the stronger he gets, etc. Personally I think he should have kicked Supermans ass, but in the interests of DC and Marvel keeping things even, they had to call it a draw. Bah. Hulk is strongest one there is.

Sorry, back on to Thor (which I'm really looking forward too, but I might go see it in 2D, I hear bad things about 3D converted movies)

It is said to have been in 3d so if recorded with a conventional camera it distorts horribly. So there is no footage as far as i know until Marvel releases it officially possibly next month.

Darn well maybe they can figure another way around it then , the way marvel is going it doesnt sound like they would not leave an option to use another of the characters that they do have control of .
