just learned my new computer is being delayed because the motherboard is backordered. Won't be able to play SC2 till next Friday... the wait is killing me (I have the game and strategy guide in my possession)

I bit and picked up my order from gamestop, it seemed to have installed quicker then the beta did lol.

cool, I can respect that. I'm just glad they did a good job with the terran campaign (from what I've heard). I see the protoss and zerg as just bigger than normal expansions. No doubt they'll add new units with each one, so as long as the gameplay is good, I'm in!

My wife pre ordered that game and it arrived yesterday. I played the first 2 missions and man it brings back old memories.
I can't wait for the Protoss campaign.

The terran campaign is hella long. Also, you can play as protoss in a campaign as well.

Hmmm i played SC & BW from 98' till 2004, it consumed my life i could say, but anyways i just got SC2 yesterday (now i don't play PC games anymore since i stopped WoW 2 years ago) on my iMac 27" and what do i find?

The top resolution is a joke... i'm playing it on 12**x7** when i should be doing 24**x1*** which is the 27" screen resolution..

And then i go online but there isn't a chat?

To be honest i didn't have the time to investigate thru the menu much, i was running out of time so i'll take my time today but i was really dissapointed.

The rest.. well, what i expected, SC but with "cute" graphics, which i think if you are into playing it hardcore its worst than the first game, which was/is perfect.

Question - I just learned that people who bought the collector's edition got access to special battle.net portraits (pic below). Can others purchase these portraits (like "Diablo Marine") individually? That would suck if you couldn't - some of them are sick!

I lined up at the midnight launch and got myself the Collector's set. I haven't played RTS in a LONG while, but this game got me back into it! I got my hand on an extra Collector's Edition (these things are sold out in most stores here in Canada). Can sell to international members who can't get one. PM me.

Graphics remind me of a more refined Warcraft 3 and just really isn't appealing to me not everything needs to be mini 3d... Also I think they could have done a better job with the blood exc.

As long as its taken them to do this game I would expect more then what we got IMOP.

Still don't have my new computer yet (comes tomorrow!), but I visited my brother this past weekend and got to try out the game... and it's awesome! I was impressed with how everything was just so smooth (he has a custom laptop that ran it without a hitch on very high/max... Intel Core i5, NVIDIA GTS 360M, 4GB DDR3 1066 MHZ RAM). Love the new units and revisions to the old ones.

One more day...

Damn, I really want to play this but I'm not sure I want to spend the money to upgrade.

Man, it's been a while since I've done something with my computer.

Running an AMD Athlon 64 2ghz, Radeon XT1600 and 2 gigs of DDR ram.

I know it's a bit outdated but does anyone believe I can run this at low settings?
