Practically everything about the film ranged from poor to mediocre.

If it helps you but probably doesn't, I liked it and am considering buying it now. Not a bad move renting it like I did though since you had a free rental.

Austin Powers "Gold Member"

This one was actually funnier than the first 2 IMO. Very good movie to pass time and get a couple of hard laughs. Especially the fight scene between Austin and Mini Me, i almost died of laughter

*sigh* That's why I stated that it was my opinion. And in my opinion, it was "poor", not terrible.

Scorcese is capable of much more than his work on this film, and I felt that he dropped the ball. I'm excited about whatever comes next for him though

Agreed, though Leo was very good when he didn't have a poor script to go on. And I really liked Jackie in this one, I'm excited to see what films he does in the future. I'd like to see the new Nightmare on Elm Street. I'm not expecting much from the film, but I wanna see him as Freddy

The Girl Who Played With Fire

I definitely like first film better. That's not to say this is a bad film by any means. I found the story in the Tattoo to be much more interesting. I thought that this film got off to a slow start but the latter half of the film definitely picked up. I'm definitely anxious for the third film to come out.

Film: 3.5/5

Alice in Wonderland 3.5/5

It was a blind buy and luckily a good one. The movie isn't perfect and it has its flaws, but the visuals are stunning, Johnny Depp is great, Helena is hilarious, the pacing is nice and it has some very funny scenes. Overall a good enjoyable movie, and nothing more. I liked it.

Shutter Island 4.5/5

Great story, great atmosphere, great acting and an amazing score. Very good movie.

I'm gonna go ahead and recommend a movie: The Peaceful Warrior. It's about a college gymnastics star who gets in a massive accident and is forced to re-examine his life. His mentor is a gas station clerk, played by Nick Nolte. It's semi-autobiographical and based on the novel "The Way of the Peaceful Warrior," which I read and thought was very good. The film is good as well, I gave it 3 stars (out of 4). It's not a great movie, but in terms of movies that were practically not released in theaters, it's worth seeing. I have a great interest in Buddhism and inspiration, and this film/book focuses on both. I saw the film 2-3 years ago but was just reminded of it today. The trailer is below:

Saw that a few years ago and I liked it. I don't remember too much of it, but was
[Show spoiler]Nick Nolte real?

Clash of the Titans

It was an okay movie it had its moments
[Show spoiler]but I didn't like how the Kraken was so quickly and easily killed they acted as if he was the strongest most powerful thing to ever walk the face of the earth

6.5/10

Yeah I agree.
[Show spoiler]But's just how the story is. There wasn't much else he could to do to kill it or even hurt it. But I agree it was pretty lame.

I just watched 28 weeks later. I would say 8/10

A good movie but it felt pretty short and not enough zombies. I forgot about the part at the end
[Show spoiler]when it shows the zombie running across Paris. Maybe they will make another movie

Depends on your interpretation. In the movie, yes. In the book, yes. In real life, Dan Millman, the author, met a gas station clerk like that but he fictionalized him in many respects and then continued with stories about Socrates' backstory.

Seven Pounds

This was one of the couple Will Smith movies that I haven't seen and I saw it on the Directv guide a few days ago and set it to DVR.

I thought it was ok.

I would much rather have had them
[Show spoiler]spend more time with the other people helped instead of Dawson's character being such a central figure. I didn't care for the love story between the two characters. I like the premise of him helping 7 people after killing 7 people, but I don't think it was executed all that well.

I thought Smith did a solid job in his role though (not as good as Pursuit of Happyness).

It's been a while Seven Pounds but I remember it being pretty deep. That conversation he has with some guy on the phone was messed up. Like I said it's been a while since I've seen it but I just remember one part leaving me like "Wow that was screwed up."

Yea that was the conversation with the
[Show spoiler]blind guy who he gives his corneas to after he dies.

I actually felt bad for the guy when that conversation was going on, rough stuff.

The idea for that movie was very good, but the execution not so, as you have already said.

Yeah real rough stuff. I like movies like that though, that push the envelope and leave you like " Did he really just do that?" But I won't comment as to the rating since it's been a while since I've seen it.

MARCUS! I just got 28 weeks later on Blu!
Pure awesomeness!!
