hey buddy, how are you? yeah, that pre-amp post i did, well, i just couldn't help it, i mean it was right there!

just got back from a gun show, it was sweet. picked up a hot little number, the Walther PPS 9mm and a couple of boxes of ammo. Will probably get another magazine for it later. It's just another "welcome gift" for potential unwanted guest coming to do harm to me or the family or worse coming to take my gear!

I am hopeful that I'll get to update my gallery in the next week. I've been busy. take care buddy, and have a great weekend!

Hey there SD. I had no idea you started a thread for your set-up. About time dude! How goes it on this blistering HOT Sunday evening? I just got me a Panasonic 50" S2 plasma tv for my bed room, and gave my 42" Philips to my son for his gaming set-up. I have to admit, the plasma is making my 55" Sammy look bad. I don't game alot, so another panny may be in the works for the main HT. 58" or a 65" perhaps. Who know's? What else do you have in store for your fantastic set-up?

love the Thor avatar, as you have gathered from mine, I'm a big Thor fan (have been for over 40yrs! let me ask you something, how is plasma for gaming? the 1080p plasmas are really dropping like flies in price (is that good or is it because they are about to go the way of the HD-DVD with the advent of LED-LCD, not to mention that panny got out of the plasma race).

i've been thinking about getting one but just wondering how it looks and works with gaming and is there still a "burn in" factor with the newer plasmas? thanks for your help.

i started this thread a while ago. i still have to update the gallery to show the 5 new Axiom speakers I've incorporated into the system. Hope things are going well for you and yours.

like dog shit at times john, and great at other times so it's not all bad! doing pretty good, getting ready to grab some dinner and watch a movie at home! how are you doing my friend? here's wishing you and yours are fine and having fun!

Oh yeah, since i got those Axiom M80v3 towers, i've really been enjoying my 2 channel SACD'S something fierce! They are really bringing out some great sound and for me, at 50hz they are incredible the lows out of them are incredible. i turn off the sub when listening to them the low end is incredible. i'm very happy with the choice i made. Damn Canadians make some fine speakers, let me tell ya, ay!

I haven't tried gaming on mine yet. HAMP says he prefers gaming on his Samsung LCD over his Panasonic plasma.

yeah, because i have all my gear under one monitor i would probably go with a LCD. eventually, my SXRD is going to crap out. the optical block which i had replaced is very slowly starting to creep back. hopefully i'll be good till the end of the year i'd get a new set around then. can't do it now cause i just bought 5 new speakers so my gear spending is on hold, on hold by me! gotta be smart about these things!

Not really sure about the gaming, but I am using mine for blu-ray and TV only viewing in the bedroom. The PQ can't be beat! I see alot of members on here with plasma tv's and now I know why. Panasonic is a great brand name. I would vouch for the panny plasma based on what I am seeing. I am not going to game on mine, but the 55" Samsung lcd I have, will fit the gaming bill just fine. A friend of mine had a Panny S1, and he plays alot of sports games. He had issues with image retention, but there are several members on here with PS3's and 360's connected to Plasma tv's and seem very happy.
By the way, you do need to post pics. What are you going to do with the RTi10's?

thanks for that response buddy, as for the old Polk's i sold thr RTi10's, CSi5 & the TSi100's to a friend who is overjoyed with the deal i gave him and the speakers. he has never had speakers of that caliber and he can't stop talking about them or thanking me. he is also the same person who bought my Onkyo 805 so I gave him a very good deal on those 5 polks and I had a insignia blu-ray player that my kid was using until i got her a ps3 and i threw the blu-ray player in as well, even included some HDMI cables. like i said, he's a good friend and a great customer and i wanted to help him out as much as i wanted to sell the speakers and other gear.
thanks for asking, they are enjoying their new home and treating their new owner and his family to some serious audio treats like they have never heard before.

Good deal! I let a friend of mine get a good deal on my CSi3 center speaker, an SVS PB10-ISD, and a Harmony 520. He is a good friend, so I practically gave them to him for little of nothing. I replaced the items with a CSi5, SVS PB12 plus, and a Harmony One. I been thinking about Kef speakers myself, but I have not made up my mind yet. An Emotiva XPA-2, an Oppo 83, and more levels to my VTI rack are coming soon. Those upgrades are for sure by December or January. How often do you game?

So how is the heat deflector working for you? I also have an Okyo reciever with a blueray player on top and it does get pretty hot. If you look at my Home theater Gallery I dont have to much space to lift the bluerasy play but I will as far up as I can on that same shelf, but I will also do something like what you have done. I was just wondering if it help a little or alot? What are your thoughts?
