What video format do you think Sony Music should use for their 2D concert/music titles on Blu-ray (for titles shot in the US)?

Well I'd much rather have 1080p than 720p; given that option 1 doesn't differentiate between the two it's clear I'll have to pick option 2.

You should have split them up. How many more polls are we going to have on this issue?

Nobody with a good HDTV wants to start seeing 720p Blu-ray releases.

Blu-ray is 1080p / 1080i.
Why should we pay for 720p dvd-video quality on blu-ray disc?

That's why I picked #2.

Could you edit them then please so that 720p60 is a seperate option since it doesn't allow me to edit the poll options?

Which DVD has encodes of 720p50 or 720p60? Both of those are classified as high definition. Which are not part of the DVD spec. 720p60 has 2.5 times the temporal resolution as 1080p24.

For 3D, we won't even have the options of 1080/50i or 1080/60i, it'll have to be either 1080p24 or 720p50 or 720p60. Which do you think would look the most "live" for a live music concert? Which do you think Sony will use for their World Cup 3D Blu-ray and why? So if a live 3D concert was shot & broadcast at 60i (or 50i in Europe), it'll have to be 720p on Blu-ray if they want it to look/sound as much like the original as possible.

Done. I also added 1080p30 shot and encoded at 1080i60 which is what the NIN disc was.

(One advantage to the old HD DVD...the NIN disc is 1080p30 natively on the disc)

The first 3D music title in the Blu-ray 3D format on Blu-ray is 720p60 - though shot at 1080p30 I think (1080p30 / 1080i60 3D isn't a supported format on Blu-ray that's why it's encoded at 720p60).

1080p30 2D isn't supported either, hence the NIN disc being encoded at 1080i60.
