I'm sorry. They are playable, they just don't have subtitles for the extras. Sorry about that.

So the Canadian BD of this movie is 1080p for certain?

How does the Canadian BD of this movie compare with the Korean BD of this movie? If it's better, why is it better?

Ummm, sorry to contradict you, but you are completely wrong there. We do indeed have 1080p TV/devices; we have for a while now. Saying Americans won't want full 1080p on their blu-rays is a gross statement of ignorance. For the record, I'm not trying to insult you in any way, but your comment made absolutely 00% sense.

not really surprised if it's an MPI release.
they are a really small distributor, and have always been very hit or miss with their dvd releases.
it is a shame for sure.
btw: the best release of this is the Japanese bd which contains both versions of the film, and is not censored..
Japan is region A just like the US.

He was being sarcastic. Like 'This is what the disc distributor must have been thinking to make such a colossal f-up like this.'

Where can I find this release?

I wish I bought the CJ Entertainment release but I missed that limited run so this one sounds like it's the next best thing.

(and the "censoring" really is not an issue at all).

Holy shit, $90 is a bit steep. There is no way I can justify that purchase. I'll just stick with my Korean DVD for now.

1080p is the best hd video we can get
and the norm for blu ray and what they should be transfering all movies too

1080i is still good, but it is interlaced, so its not too good with fast motion, cuz not all info is on the screen at once, when with 1080p we are getting the all info and the same time, no missing lines, in reality 1080i is really 540p, so if studios r going to be lazy then mite as well transfer movies in 720p instead of 1080i

Your 1080i description is accurate for content from an interlaced source, except that very few of us have display devices which can actually display 1080i. If the original source is progressive, and if the video is properly interlaced and put through 3:2 pulldown, and if the player/monitor recognizes this and de-interlaces and reverse pull-downs the video, then the video will be indistinguishable from true 1080p video. Of course, there are a lot of "ifs" in that statement. Additionally, a 1080i encode suggests a 1080i master

Actually, I didn't know that. Thanks for the advice.

I didn't open mine so I returned it stating "different from website description".
