Yeah because 3D always certainly affects the quality of a movie!

well I mean if the original was in 3D would it be any better? I doubt it. Wow the cheastburster scene in 3D would that really be that great? If a story is really good then it really doesn't need 3D, 3D is always used like a crutch now for studios to all say hey look now you can see our movie in 3D. So who really cares? I just think Ridley Scott is talented enough to make a good movie without having to use a gimmick like 3D to put butts in seats, I think just the name Alien on its own puts butts in seats, just look at all the preorders for the upcoming anthology set

3D slapped on in post-production is a gimmick (see 99% of all 3D movies). When done right (Avatar / Toy Story 3) it makes the movie have more immersion.

You would think the writers of that comic would have the sense to know that if something had been stronger than the aliens (and able to digest the alien acid blood), then the corporate/military focus would have shifted to the more robust creature. Instead, the dragons appear in three panels on one page in an ambush on the ski mobiles and then they are gone. Lame.

No this is a paperback book. But yes Im sure they are not canon either. Plus in these books the aliens take over Earth.

I personally don't mind 3D films if they are done right (like Avatar), but it would be much better if the Alien prequels were actually shot in 3D instead of digitally converted. I'll see these films either way, but would actually prefer if they were in 2D, just so my favorite director doesn't fall into the gimmick of 3D and start making crap films in a new dimension.

So, you really just said exactly what I ment, what the hell does 3D have to do with the actually quality if the storys good.

sorry there chief actually it does obviously Clash of the Titans has slipped your mind read the reviews son on the craptacular use of 3D in that movie. you hate people who hate on 3D better get used to it til Hollywood gives up putting this garbage in every movie they can think of.

PS a lot more people hate it than love it don't believe it start a poll. no reply needed you can go back to being fatigued but on the plus side nice home theater set up

I didn't watch The Clash of the Titans in 3D, so the 3D had nothing to do with the story for me. Perhaps you should read the reviews for Step Up 3D, many people acutally say the 3D made that movie better. Time to stick with the old addage......

You don't like it, don't watch it. It really is as simple as that.

I don't believe a poll on this site represents the general public very well. Revenues say that over 50% of 3D movies come from 3D sales, except for Dispicable me, which was 45% last time I saw, so the more people hate it than love it thing doesn't hold water with me.

Thanks for the props on my HT. Wait till you see my 3D one in a few years....if 3D ends up sticking around that is.

Back on topic....the Alien prequels will. be. AWESOME! in 3D or 2D. Oh, and Gemma's hot!
