Hey guys,

So far i have seen Kungfu Hustle and Journey to the West (The Monkey King) are the only one that is blu ray. Do you know any other movies of Chow that are in blu ray??? I am looking forward to see Shaolin Soccer, From Beijing With Love, God of Cookery on blu!

If you have a region free player, Shaolin Soccer is coming to the UK in September.

I have the Chinese Odyssey collection and CJ7. I've been wanting to get Kung Fu Hustle, but I've been trying to avoid the US version for the sake of wanting the uncut one from either Japan or Korea. I don't know...I may just give in and get the US one though.

I do want more of his stuff on Bluray though. I've got tons of his stuff on DVD so it'd be nice to get an upgrade.

I wish they start doing a Stephen Chow Vol I, etc. There's alot older films that I would definitely buy on Blu.

Who releases Kung Fu Hustle in the UK? Does it have any PAL content?

I think the special features may be PAL SD, not much tho.

I remember that the English subtitles were just awful on the remastered Chinese Odyssey DVDs, so I think it's pointless to buy the blu-rays of those since the subs are probably the same.

the shaolin soccer uk version release isn't bad either.... the PQ isn't a 4 or 5 but its an upgrade from the dvd. the AQ is really good!!!

Thanks for the info. I assume as said earlier that this is the HK version of the film. Not the edited US version ... correct? Also playable on US players right?

Region B locked and both versions.

There's an HDTV version of God of Cookery out there on the Internet. It's quality is actually pretty decent. It'll hold me over until an actual BD gets released.
