I make a mean Fettuccini Carbonara from scratch...... it's fairly easy.... (I buy fresh noodles though.... too much effort to make them, when the fresh ones from the local guy that makes them, who also sells them to restaurants etc.... are just as good/better) Lots of heavy whipping cream, butter, garlic, and either proscuito or pancetta..... yum yum!

and because of my wife's influence..... we've made a lot of varenyky from scratch..... THAT, is a lot of work for such a simple recipe.....
