Default optoma hd66

Just to clarify – I didn't ask the question but I copied the info from another board and brought it here because I was sure it would be of interest.

I currently am using an Optoma HD65 projector and it's the best $600 I ever spent. Yes, I know it is only a 720p projector (and I can see the difference if I really dig into the picture and look), but the picture & colors are wonderful and it is BIG.

When the HD66 was announced, I bought one right away using a coupon at Dell and have kept it sealed up in the box waiting for a 3D Blu-Ray solution – so word of the converter box is some of the best news of 2010 for me too!

I would guess the price of the converter would be in line with the Mitsubishi 3DA-1 Signal Converter – and that is priced at about $100.00.

The other question I have is the emitter / glasses solution. I've seen that Sony sells it's emitter separately – but I believe it needs to be plugged into a Bravia TV?

I'd imagine we'll have answer to all of these questions pretty soon. This will certainly be the most affordable 3D solution out there for most – and I'd bet it will be especially popular for ps3 gamers.
