I was wondering if anyone had a firmware CD sent to them from Samsung? I was in the same boat as you, but let me tell you after two weeks of problems with my Samsung (even after the firmware update) my Samsung STILL would not play all my movies. After days of trouble shooting I find out that other Samsungs (Best Buy display) will not also. That says it's a systematic problem. I put the same movies in the PS3 display and they all worked and loaded faster.

Today I returned my Samsung to Best Buy and got a PS3. Hands down, the PS3 kicks the Samsungs butt. The picture is much better and load time is a 1/4 of the Sammy. I never thought I would see a game system better a stand alone, but it has here.

I got the update disc from Circuit City (loan) to update my Samsung even though I bought (and returned) it at Best But. Good luck.
