Ya. it's way too big for the amount of people that are already confirmed. I was going to say 11 MAX, but under 15 should be ok.

since this is the first one were doing im making it very simple with a total of 14 players... thats if we get keep it at 10 Owners.. if its 12 i'll lower it to 11 players for each roster..

6 Forwards
2 goalies
3 defenseman
3 on the bench

I did one of these on Yahoo last year for the first time. I ended up winning the league, but got nothing since it was free.

It was a lot of fun, but pretty time consuming since we had huge rosters and you had to bench and start players daily.

We played one team each week and the winner was who won the most categories that week. There was something like 11 categories and an example would be someone winning 6 categories and losing 5. There was no actual win/loss record, but if you won your first 2 week 6-5 and 6-5, your record would be 12-10 through 2 weeks.

I voted for that same type of scoring (#4), but am fine with any, but #1.

We have 9 players right now... hoping for at least 12 but if not than we will just go with 10...

This sounds like it could be a lot of fun. I've played on yahoo for the last few years and I did pretty well. I believe the scoring system that I've been using for the past 2 years is "H2H Most Categories- H2H with one opponent each week, earning a win if you win the most categories".

However I have done a "Roto-Compete against your whole league all season long,trying to rank highest in each stat category" scoring system.

What scoring are we doing and are we doing a live draft? In the league I described in my above post, all teams were auto-drafted for and then teams could add/drop all they wanted if they didn't like certain players.

its a live draft & im using standerd league settings for the scoring, check out the second post..

now for the live draft, im aiming for at least a week before the season starts... are there any days or times where someone cant make it? Draft will be held on a Monday, Tuesday,Wednesday or Friday in-between, 4pm-7pm pacific time... depends on you guys as im trying to accomadate everyone on the east coast as well...

Do your best, but it's extremely difficult to match up times for 12 people scattered across North America. Somebody might have to autopick.

Here are some dates i'm thinking we can do it... please tell me what you guys think would be best? All times Pacific.... Keep in mind season starts Oct 7th...

Monday Oct 4th @5:00pm
Tuesday Oct 5th @5:30pm
Wednesday Oct 6th @6:00pm

Trying to switch up the times to make it more conveniant for everyone...

Reason i chose ESPN league was becuase i got the link directly from TSN website

I'm more familiar with Yahoo, but it doesn't really matter.

BTW I'm free on any one of those days for the draft.

I haven't tried ESPN so I can't really judge. I'm sure it's all the same when it comes down to it. Reason I stopped doing fantasy hockey because I did one and there was rampant cheating and the other reason was because I just don't care, I just pick my favorite players, regardless of talent.

cheating really? how do you cheat in fantasy NHL..

... and i would probably do the same thing in terms of picking my fav players, so everyone better stay away from Thornton, Heatley and Marleau!!

the GM, making trades, switching out players, facilating trades between himself and others. Not pretty and tried to cover it up by deleting the "history" of events but I caught him in the act.
