Looking forward to this release.

I already have the other two versions of this movie on BD. This will be my first triple dip.
  • The Polar Express 2D BD - Lossy Audio
  • The Polar Express 2D/3D Anaglyph - Lossless audio
  • The Polar Express Full 3D - Audio TBA???

I have the dvd, hd dvd & 2d/3d bd anaglyph. I have a ps3 but no 3D TV.
Still not sure if I want to get into 3DTV but this movie is really good and is made for 3D. I am like everyone else the anaglph version of 3D was not very good at all.

Those of use that purchased the anaglyph version should get a discount. No?

Do you know what, it's not, my previous post was a mistake, i meant to post it in the Alice in Wonderland thread, My apologies.

However Polar Express is multi region and can be imported here.

I am sure it can be gotten cheaper though.

I'll import it as a pick-up. I've never seen it in 3D and I don't have a 3D TV. But it has the 2D version, so I'll watch that til I have enought to buy a 3D TV and a 3D Blu-ray player. Plus this comes out the same day as A Christmas Carol which was directed by Robert Zemeckis, who is the same person that directed this film, but A Christmas Carol will be released by Disney and this film is released by Warner Bros.

even if you do not have 3d buy that version for $4 more on amazon and sell the 3d disc on ebay or craigslist for $15 or more and that will help bring down your purchase cost... referring to christmas carol 4 disc

O man it's almost the release date. It's either I get this or Disney's Christmas Carol ... decision, choices ...

Did you open it yet? I'm pretty sure you can still return it unless making the trip back there is a drag...

O NOW I geddit. My bad you meant this version of the movie came out earlier than the street date 'cause I saw it on my local Wal-Mart last Friday. But the price tag was a ridiculous $36. Man I dunno if I'm up for this. Hoping on the street date it goes down.

Default Polar Express

Just received from Amazon and popped it in. I have to say. This is probably the worst 3D Bluray I have seen. Ghosting throughout. I have a Samsung 8000 series TV and the Samsung C6900 BD3D player. Anyone else seeing the constant ghosting?

I'm so glad I'm only going after the 2D part. This is probably a dumb question but the 2D disc features the DTS-HD MA track right? And for curiosity sake and I know it may not matter but are they both dual layered?

EDIT: I also need an opinion. DTS-HD MA and Dolby True HD - barely difference since they're both lossless right? I'm thinking if the video quality in the 2D part of this releases barely has difference I'm just gonna go after the anaglyph release for the Dolby True HD lossless.

Sorry I'm kinda need to know since I only want to make one trip to the mall.
