mmgirl. I was wondering as you have both Twilight and New Moon in your collection I assumed you were a Twilight fan but after reading what you said it seems you are not a Twilight fan right?

No I'm not a fan of the films at all. I do love the guys though. The films were gifts, so I did not waste any money. I tried to read the books because I worked at Books A Million, and I could never get past page 50. I miss Anne Rice.

OK yeah that makes sense. Yeah I also tried to read the books but never could get into them even though I do enjoy the films. But yeah I do miss Anne Rice but I think True Blood does make up for all this teen vamp stuff.

Um, in February you said you couldn't stand Amanda, and would pass on the film just based on that.

I believe he or she means they miss the Vampire Chronicles and I agree, after LoTR those are probably my favourite book series ever, even ahead of Narnia and Dune and the works of John Grisham and Neal Stephenson. Never seen a movie where Amanda was THE main character, can't wait.

I have season 2 of True Blood, and man do I regret that purchase. I bought it because I Hoyt, I want to kidnap Jim Parrack. I hate all the sex, so I fastforward A LOT. Plus Sookie REALLY gets on my nerves. Plus I do not like the fact that the plotlines are always so convoluted. Parents would ask me if Twilight was appropriate for their children, and you can never tell someone like that you don't know. Read it yourself morons, don't trust a store clerk. Who lets their kids read that crap anyway?! She converted to catholicism, and she only writes Christian books now. Damn her to hell. If you want to convert, fine more power to you, but don't let it affect your work if you're good imo.

I wish she would. She converted to catholicism, and it ruined her, she only writes Christian stuff now. So to me, it's like she's dead.

Her ending of the Vampire Chronicles has to do with the death of her husband Stan Rice, not her newfound religion. Although her newfound religion may have to do with the loss of the love of her life, I don't know.

Stan Rice was the inspiration for Lestat so I can see why she would end the Vampire Chronicles after his death. This has nothing to do with Red Riding Hood though so I will end this post with an inappropriate comment about Amanda's ample bosom.

Not at all. I really like L. J. Smith's The Vampire Diaries, I grew up on it. Dracula is always good too. I actually haven't read that many vampire books that I really remember like The Vampire Chronicles. I've always been a big fan of the series. Are there any particular ones you enjoy?

OK yeah I also love The Vampire Diaries and right now I started reading Vampire Academy but not that far into the first book yet to make my final judgment. But yeah like you I haven't read that many vampire book except the 2 I named and I watch True Blood,Vampire Diaries and Twilight.

Still surprises me how much this movie is like Twilight except with werewolves instead though.
