Every few months? socket 1366 (and 1156)came out in 2008. so if its 2011 for its replacement thats 3 years, which isnt that bad.

The Nehalem (Core-i5) CPUs that utilized the LGA 1156 socket were released on September 8, 2009. Seeing as Intel is making the transition to LGA 1155 next year, this makes the 1156 one of the shortest-lived sockets in recent memory.
