I'm not buying it. It's just a lame attempt to divert attention and soften the blow from this weeks double whammy they got served on a platter with the Warner rumor and Nielson numbers.

I believe it is very much assumed that New Line will do whatever Warner does since it is their parent company. But I do not think that they HAVE to what Warner does. With that being said, I don't think we should worry to much about them though...

well as a moderator on a different forum I am well aware of the difficulties involved. But AVS have only themselves to blame for allowing insiders to be chased off and allowing fan boys from bothsides ruin it for everyone else. But in particular there is a deep sense among BD supporters that they are not being protected over there from HD-DVD FUD and an underlying feeling that many of the Mods are by no means neutral.

Well it's working because now I see there are Polls on highdefdigest.com voting for which studio is going neutral. The choices were Disney, Sony, Fox, and MGM I believe with about a hundred votes so far. I mean honestly, how desperate can you seriously get?

Yeah I'm beginning to learn that. I used to frequent the boards there and made a good 60 posts until the same flaming red fan boys kept blatantly mis-posting information and making outright lies so I gave up trying to correct their "facts" and moved here.

I just looked at one of the polls, I think they may have multiple ones on this same topic going on. Personally, I think this is all just a load of BS created to get some good buzz going for HD DVD. Look at how many multiple news sites picked up the information that Warner may be going BD exclusive. He probably wanted to start something to get other news sites to pick up on the BD studio going neutral story go get some good news out for HD DVD to keep people from dropping the format or going with Blu-ray. Even a lot of the HD DVD supporters are calling BS on this one. Interesting, most of the comments about the poll are like none, or it's not going to happen.

Yeah it's good to see that at least *most* people are being sensible about it. It was obviously created as "flame bait" to try and spin up a talking point for HD DVD.

I didn't catch any insiders saying that it wasn't true. I remember a Penton made a crack about the Rjam guy, but he didn't address the rumor directly.
