Don't get me wrong, I loved the NES in its day (and enjoyed the heck out of a friends Atari), but your expectations grow as the bar is raised. Or at least mine do.

Sure many games with fantastic graphics suck; many games suck, period. But sh!tty graphics don't mean that any more attention was paid to gameplay.

dude ...trivial pursuit has "shitty graphics," (IE: board game) but that doesn't make it a "shitty game."

getting the point across about game quality and replay-ability is like trying to force a twinkie through a brick wall. ain't gonna happen. that's why this whole thread is moot.
