NOW, no more excuses...show me about 80-100 titles from Fox in HD exclusively on BD in 2008 and I'll be one happy camper.

My next Fox title: Master and Commander on Feb 5, 2008.
I got to agree.....although my number one is not fox.
buena vista/disney is 54% in my collection, followed by equal 11% for both FOX and warner. then comes Sony, followed by para/dreamworks and uni.

just realised that I actually only have 1 paramount title (excluding dreamworks)

Lets see, in the Fifth Element, there is the four stones, Fire Burns, Wind Blows, yadda yadda yadda.

It is somewhat interesting that first Michael Burns (Lionsgate), next Mike Dunn (Fox) appear to be reading from the same script. This could be construed as some coordination does it not? If we do get the top execs of Disney and Sony studios say similar things, then that sets the stage for that fifth studio to...... what? Ok, time to go watch a movie.

Very good find! I am sure that the studios "know" a lot more that what has actually been disclosed. You would have to be a maniac to buy into HD DVd at this point. Looking foward to the Simpsons movie next week.

How long do people get to return those HD DVD firesale player Christmas Presents back to the store? I'll bet 50% of them are returned to the store for a credit or refund for a blu-ray player. Unless a retractible cup holder was on their Christmas list.

A blurb or slip of the tongue wouldn't surprise me from Disney or Sony over the
next couple weks like we've seen from Lionsgate and now Fox.

If Disney chimes in a comment along the same lines, and then Sony does a couple days later, that would be so cool! Maybe someone from MGM too, then every BD studio will have hinted at it... how can anyone deny it then?

True, but let's face it. If all of the execs of the Redcoats came out, got down on one knee, placed their hands on a BD of POTC 3 and swore an oath of eternal fealty to Blu-Ray, there would be some who would trumpet how this was a clever move for HD DVD and was the greatest sign of its upcoming triumph to date.

if everyone is so sure warner is coming to blu ray why are we all throwing our money at them to make them come to blu ray when it looks like they already are?

Better to be safe than sorry. They might have made their wishes know to others but until it is announced it can change. So give them every reason to confirm the decision.
