Wouldn't be surprised if a box set is announced in time for Halloween next year.

You're right, but the "Final Chapter" actually did better than part 2 and almost as well as part three, prompting them to try another and eventually keep the cash cow going.

Saw 3D was basically a rebound from VI but VI was the worst domestic gross of the series. They still made money no problem, but it's been consistently declining.

A box set will happen. Mark Burg will insure that.

I haven't bought any of the movies still because I'm holding out for a box set. I think we will see one in 2011.

I hope when they release a blu-ray set of the series, the first Saw is the uncut version. From what I understand, the uncut version is only available on dvd.

I think a cool box set can be made or these movie but I doubt I would buy it seeing as I already have 5 of them on Blu. I would have to get a good deal on selling them for me to take the plunge because this is not even one of my all time favorite horror series like the ED trilogy or ANOES and others.

There's one coming out in Germany, so I'm going to guess the US will get one sooner or later. I've been collecting them separate though. I'm just hoping that the 2D version of this Blu-Ray isn't in that hideous white case...

The next one will be Saw Origins: Jigsaw, where he meets a bunch of other killers like Freddy, Jason, Candyman and Leatherface in random, meaningless extended cameos in between CGI-heavy fight scenes.

If they made a SAW VIII, they could be slick about it and do a time twist at the end and reveal its a prequel or interquel.

However, I am waiting for the eventual SAW remake / reboot to happen.

If a set are to come out, I'll totally buy it. I like having to buy all movies in a boxset rather than buying them separately.

sounds awesome!

I really hope when they do this boxset that they'll do it properly (seamless branching with the different cuts included). it really annoys me when they just release one (usually the shorter / edited down version) of the cuts on bluray or double dip.

I don't mean to disappoint the OP, but there is very little market for a Saw 1-7 box set at the moment.

Hopefully they release the set. I have held off buying any these BR because of the potential box set coming out.
