I read somewhere (can't remember where, maybe Sony's support site?) that if you're trying to output a 1080p signal to a 1080i/max HDTV you might have issues with freezing and restarts. Not sure what you have though, so might not relate to you.

That's why I said call Sony's technical support staff. They might be aware of some issues.

Ok is that a software issue? Remember not all of us are as technically wise as you.

I also had problems starting up disc 3 of Lost. I had no problems watching discs 1 and 2, but I took each of those discs out of the PS3 between viewings. Then with disc 3, I left the disc in the PS3 overnight while Folding@home ran. So a good 20 hours went by before picking up where we left off in disc 3. When I went to play the disc, it went to the black screen with the pulsing silver dot in the top right corner. I couldn't get any response from the remote except for the PS button. When I tried to turn off the system with the PS button, nothing happened. I ended up having to hold the power button on the front of the PS3 for a few seconds to turn it off. After starting back up, disc 3 started up OK, but then when we started our episode, the audio went away. I backed out to the top menu which did have audio, and then we had no problems after that with discs 3 and 4.

So far, using Season Play has been fine for me (using a 60-gig PS3). Haven't made it to disc 3 yet though.

POTC 3 also worked fine for me (using a 60-gig PS3).

BTW, loved the intro where they show the standard def pic morphing into hi-def. I think all the blu-rays should include something like that. Edit: Also was nice to see someone other than Sony using custom icons for the blu-rays.

Except I formatted my hard-drive, so that cookie shouldn't exist any more.

Besides which, shouldn't the cookie load after the menus? You still have to select Season Play from the menu before it loads your bookmark.

Actually, I didn't have to. It just jumped straight into the spot where I quit during season play with no interaction from me at all.

Since Lost "saves" it'll have the data corruption problem if you ever happen to quit or have a power flicker during a save.
