[Show spoiler]an actress playing a role/becoming a role gone haywire.
Of course, that's only it globally. There are still a lot of unexplainable bits, but hey, it's David Lynch we're talking about.
That reminds me, I definitely need to see it again. I own it on DVD, but never watched it because of
[Show spoiler]that face that terrified me enormously in the movie theater
.

The Fountain is so simple that sometimes it passes people right by. It did that to me the first time I saw it. The visuals are so wild that I got tripped up on the VERY simple story and the explanation of the three different time eras.

1) Inception - have watched it 4 times, still get nothing, even after reading explanations on the internet. Maybe I am just dumb.

2) Triangle - dont understand, the ending.

3) Clash Of The Titans - too complex plot, very mystical. Ending is hard to comprehend.
[Show spoiler]Lol, this one was a joke.

4) Memento - too complicated for my poor brain.

There are many more, I just cant remember now.

I just remembered:

"Rubber's Lover"
"964 Pinocchio"

A pair of fine low-budget Japanese cyberpunk horror flicks featuring wild in-your-face photography and all kinds of nasty weird stuff. Not even sure what the plot in both movies were. But they were a hoot to watch. Gotta love how the characters scream at each other's faces, and one girl spews bucketloads of puke, one guy rips off another guy's head and sticks it on his own... what does it all mean anyway?!!

Does it bore you,or do you-as is the title of this thread-not understand it?Remember watching it in theaters, and at the end where it suggests that it is all a dream-total recall ad-nausum in cinematic history-many of the audience laughed. It was such a mess of a movie IMO.Style over matter like all his movies

If you don't understand it:It's about a guy who hires a team (The a-team? ) to break into other peoples minds.Recruits a hot chick whos brainy to cover the sexy-part of the movie, and alot of expendables with HUGE guns-for whatever reason since this is all inside the persons head-and whenever the story is in danger of stagnating-i.e. audience having a snoozefest-lots of shooting and explosions takes place to divert the unwanted cerebral activity in the audience from fireing up

Then, ofcourse, you have the delusionals which thinks this is an incredible intricate take on the which came first:chicken-or-egg dilemma

Good explanation of the movie.
