4k will be the next level.

4k (4096 x 2160) is the resolution used for DCI (Digital Cinema Initiative) and I believe NHK claims that they will broadcast in 4k around 2011. It is also the resolution used for DI (Digital Intermediate) in some cases I believe.

So... something to look forward to.
