Default Great Packaging for Blade Runner/Go Blu!

This is a very thick case and very nice how they have all 5 discs staggered in the case. Will be watching tonight!

It is nice to see that the front cover is holographic becasue without that I think the cover would lose some of it appeal.

I have this set as well, and there are 3 Blu-rays and 2 DVD's making up the five discs. All of the supplemental material are on DVD's.

I agree this is a nice looking set. Between this and the Die Hard Collection I'm really liking these larger keepcases rather than the normal cardboard boxes that most multi-movie releases come in. I hope that this style of packaging will continue and become widespread with Blu-ray releases in the months and years to come.

It is nice, but I have to agree with the above poster. One of the reasons I was excited about Blu ray in the first place was to get away from the multiple disc packages of dvd.

I just received a backorder email from buy.com today!! It was in stock when I ordered it and paid for express shipping to get it by x-mas, now I have no clue when I'll get it. I'm on hold w/ them right now and gonna ask them to refund my shipping charges now.

In most cases, multi disc sets are nothing more than a marketing gimmick. The studios believe that consumers feel they're getting more for their money when the content is spread over at least two discs. Myself, I don't care for supplemental features but I do appreciate a quality movie presentation when I see it and thus Blade Runner delivers. And besides, this was actually priced quite well considering all that's included.

altho pretty, the case leaves a lot to be desired. The snap that holds the disc in place is poorly designed and the disc gets loose rather easy. disc 5 always comes loose.

The blu ray case I bought at HMV in toronto, in order to remove any one of the five discs you almost think you are going snap the disk in half. It is almost like they are welded in place/very tight.

Discs 2, 4 and 5 were lose on mine when I got it. As for there being multiple discs... Have you looked at the freaken features? There's 5 different versions of the film (and seemless branching wouldn't work for them, except maybe the versions that are on disc 3), a 3 and a half hour long documentary, and a whole bunch more. If they crammed all this on one disc, I'd skip it in a heart beat. Imagine the compression from WB... no thank you.
