You have CSI: Miami listed as both likely and unlikely.

I'm not going to stress about "V" or "Better with You" possibly going off as I think this list is flawed.
For example, $#!+ My Dad Says, no matter the quality, will almost surely be renewed. Additionally, Brothers & Sisters isn't exactly likely with a thinning cast, thinning ratings, and increasing salaries.

Also, why is CSI Miami both likely to be renewed and on the edge of cancellation?

On NBC, The Cape is surely doomed, but The Event may get reprieve based on how the development season looks for them. Outsourced is almost certainly not on the edge of cancellation, nor Community.

Shit has had several under 2.5's in a row for CBS. CBS. Let's stress that again CBS. It's absolutley in danger. The show even got cut to only 18 episodes.

B&S, despite thinning ratings, has been better on average than ANY ABC rookie.

And seriously, making a big deal about my typo? Honestly?

The Event isn't getting a reprieve. It costs to much, and it tanked.

You're also nuts if you think Community is not in any danger.

In essence, if you want to insult and critique my list, do your own damn research before telling me I'm wrong.

The only thing surprising about this for me is that it took this long.

NBC pulls 'Chase' from schedule
Quote:
Another apparent primetime casualty at NBC: The network has yanked under-performing drama Chase from its midseason schedule.

The network pulled Chase from Wednesdays after trying out two hours of game show Minute to Win It last night.

Minute delivered series-high numbers, including a very impressive 3.0 adult demo rating at 9 p.m. — much better than Chase‘s 1.2 rating last week. In the weeks ahead, NBC plans a mix of Minute repeats and originals at 8 p.m., with Minute originals at 9 p.m.

The move comes on the heels of the network reducing its episode order for The Cape, and releasing actors from previously planned midseason show Love Bites to pursue other projects.

The only problem I have with the list is Nikita and Hellcats as being on the edge of cancellation. I don't watch either show but from everything I've read both those shows (and the rest of the CW lineup with the exception of Life Unexpected) is in very good shape.

Brothers and Sisters might have been in more trouble if Off the Map had been a hit, but Off the Map hasn't done great so Brothers and Sisters may be safe. Still, Brothers and Sisters is a relatively expensive show due to it's large and somewhat big name cast and it's ratings are below ABC's scripted average in the 18-49 demo so it's renewal is not a sure thing. I can't imagine they'd cancel it though unless they feel good about their pilots.

I'm not antagonizing you directly, nor am I antagonizing your entire list - which you've specified is copied from TV by the numbers, so I don't know why you're taking this personally. CBS has renewed "Rules of Engagement" several times over with softer ratings. They've also had shorter seasons than most.

If it's not supposed to be something worthy of discussion, why post it in a discussion forum?

We'll see what the actual renewals bring, but I'm willing to bet they'll include both $#!+ and Community.

It rates just fine for CW. If anything, CW shows will be canceled because they feel they could do better, not because of awful ratings.

Update 2/15/11.

The Chicago Code is done. Fox is just going to run out the rest of the season with it. Fringe's fate will be decided with the next few data points. Bob's Burgers and American Dad are in competition, however, I don't think FOX needs to bring either back if they feel they could do better.

The CW is in a tough spot. They have enough pilots but not enough money to spend on ads. The network is slowly dying. Supernatural and TVD are definitly returning, but the rest of their shows could go either way now. If next year goes poorly, it may be their last.

ABC: Eyes should be turned from NBC to this sinking ship. Not a single rookie drama has shown promise for them. Heck, only Mr. sunshine has premiered well for them this year. Off the Map and V may get a pass because of this.

NBC is either bringing their stuff back or not. It's up to comcast.

CBS... Well... They're stuff is rating higher than damn near every other network. It's hard to predict their cancellation patterns for their decent rated shows.

I'm sure a vast majority of them will, it's just hard to pick which ones it will be.

TVbythenumbers.com has all of the CW's shows (with the exception of Smallville and Life Unexpected) as more likely to be renewed than canceled (with Vampire Diaries and Supernatural as certain to be renewed). I really have no idea how accurate TVbythenumbers' predications are as I've never looked back at what they predicted and compared it to what actually happened.

I'm just going by today's numbers for which Gossip Girl and 90210 both got 0.7's and everyone seems to think both are heading for cancellation now which I'm not sure is correct or not as I don't really no if those numbers out them in the danger zone or not as both shows still get very good numbers except for last night of course.

They've had series lows the past two weeks in a row.

The big networks are dying because they bank on shit, and the truly great stuff gets shit timeslots or people tune in for stupid shit. If everybody cut the shit, people would be forced into watching quality shows. The problem is with 500 channels there is always something else to watch. Shows stayed on forever back in the black and white days cause everybody had like 2 channels, lol. I'd say of those 500 channels only 5 shows at most are probably of substance the rest is shit, and I say, cut the shit! Damn the man, save the Empire!

Unfortunately, there is so much shit to cut through, I don't think we'll ever get there.

Some of these top rated shows get more than double what Chuck gets in the ratings, but I guarantee you if a network threatened to cancel any of those top rated shows, the fans wouldn't be anywhere near as passionate in their reaction as fans of Chuck are.

Have to agree I could see CSI: Miami or New York getting canceled without a whisper of pissed of fans. If Chuck or any other cult favorite show got canceled you wouldn't be able to escape the backlash and talk of it. I mean look at Firefly it's cancellation is still talked about today.
