Have news for you laddie, most of those "objects" are using those gigs to pay for their degrees and all of them are fully aware and able to make choices for themselves.
Most are actually empowered by the whole thing, and do not look at it with the same down your nose view that you do.
I also have to say that a good chunk of the ladies that go to movies to see Cruise, Denzel , Crowe and others are not doing it entirely for their acting ability.
