I didn't see him "blast" anyone, he just said that HD DVD isn't as bad as everyone on here makes it seem. I sort of agree with him, but I sort of don't. I hate HD DVD for lots of reasons, the lying, the faulty players, the lying, the combo discs, the lying, the cheating, the cheapness, the lying, the buyoffs, all that jazz. But as a product goes, it's not that bad once you get past the freeze ups, speed ups, audio sync issues, menu problems, players needing an HDMI connection at all times or else it needs to load the disc all over again, the long load times, the PIP having a nice logo to add a special little burned in logo to your TV to let people know you've been watching HD DVD special features, the fact you have to chose between features and pq quality or HD sound. It's still an improvement over DVD in some areas. Blu-Ray has its faults, too. Though, most of them are minor and easily improved upon.

You chastise the Redcoats for lying and then proceed to do so yourself?!?!?!

It's not that much of an improvement over DVD now that the "HD" upconvert DVD players are on the market.

I personally haven't sold my HD DVD player yet, but I haven't bought an HD DVD in over two months, and I won't be unless Warner goes HD DVD exclusive.

Be smart and sell it while it has a little value left.

Wow that was really stupid. Hope you can live without half the movies. Because i sure can't. Go Purple

I wouldn't mind picking up a 2nd hand HD DVD player and 2nd hand HD DVDs, that being, I don't wanna support the format by buying and adding to their numbers, but then again I wanna watch Serenity, Anchorman and Army of Darkness.

Ultiimately I want someone with a HD DVD drive and blu-ray burner to copy those for me, lol. Can't think of an honest way to watch em without going HD DVD.;;

in all fairness, it's not like we don't talk about HD DVD here constantly to bash it. Then again at least our affiliation is clear, it's like we claim neutrality and then blast HD DVD fans.

I think so pal. Kiss paramont and universal goodbye. And Warners best movies are only on Hd dvd. But to be fair the red fanboys are just as shortsided. Its us purples who buy what we want when we want. I won't be buying Underdog on Blu-ray or Doom on Hd Dvd because we the purples have double the choice you have.

You shouldn't bash someone when he wants to make a move that in my personnel opinion is the smart choice. Supporting two HD format is not where the market needs to be to have mass adoption. Blu-Ray is the only way of seeing HDM surpass DVD. With your mentality this is what is prolonging all of the studios from supporting one HDM standard and be able to enjoy them. So next time don't call people stupid, since I wouldn't consider your stand very "smart".
